Re: Bonaroo DVD

I agree the footage is great, would be nice to get an official release but who knows.

Re: STRANGE CASE OF DVD

I might be wrong, but I think the raggedness of the performance was mainly because he was...well, ragged. I'll take today's powerful, sharper vocal and more dominating stage presence over the skeletal appearance and inconsistent vocal of MR. I liked Alice's spontaneity in his 70's performances, but ...

Re: Alice and George Romero

I haven't enjoyed any of Romero's latest works, but Martin is one of the most underrated horror films ever.

Re: STRANGE CASE OF DVD

I'm glad to have this on DVD, but this has never been one of my favourite vocal performances from Alice, and his appearance is downright scary (and not in a good way.) What amazes me is that today at 64 he blows this much younger version of himself out of the water.

Re: Maybe no W2MN??

I understand some people want a whole new stage show that caters for all the new songs...but I don't get the comment somebody made earlier (apologies as it may have not even been in this thread) that sometimes its hard to be a Cooper fan as we don't quite get what we want. I think this is the best t...

Re: "A Big Announcement to Come in a Few Weeks"

Meh. Who cares. Alice continues to tour, so it's all good in my eyes. Looking forward to him making another trip down under hopefully in the next year or two, as has been his routine since 2005.

Yes, true, I guess I meant TTW is an official release and a label already distributes it. Someone selling copies of it would be no different to me starting a site and selling copies of a movie, and I think I think I'd rightfully get my ass kicked for that.

Why though? I'm genuinely curious. How hard can it be to shut them down? Especially when they appear to be selling copies of Trashes The World which is copyrighted?

Re: Unofficial DVDs

I'm not going to pretend I don't watch bootlegs or seek them out sometimes, but I was wondering how sites like the one listed above can get away with openly selling bootlegs without getting into trouble?

Re: Alice & Stallone

Sly is a fan. There is a pretty cool AC reference in 'Tango And Cash' as well if you can spot it :) (and yes it's a delibrate reference) What was the reference? Hmm.., I was SURE it was "Tango and Cash" but checking back it could have been "Cobra" instead. "In the movie "Cobra", his girlfriend asks...

Re: Lyrics

Some Japanese discs I bought in the '80's had lyrics transcribed (and butchered) by some Linda Somebody (can't remember last name) She'd just use ellipsis dots half the time when she didn't know the line. I believe it was Linda Hendricks or something along those lines. Wow, did she butcher the lyri...

Re: Killsmith 2

I bought both from iTunes, the first one is pretty bad :( the production is awful and the songs are played badly.. BUT, Killsmith 2 is much better overall and very listenable, it should've been the first album in the first place? I agree, the first Killsmith was fairly poor in my opinion, d...

Anyone else hear this yet? I got mine yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Not a fan of the first Killsmith, however this is a departure from the sound of that album. Enjoyed this one a lot, well worth a listen for anyone on the fence.

Re: Alice in the new Dark Shadows movie?

You're welcome! ;) That's always been one of my problems with certain actors. Jack Nicholson was awful in The Shining because he was just being Jack Nicholson. Same thing again in Burton's Batman . It was just Nicholson doing the same schtick as he'd done in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest .... Dep...

Re: Orianthi To Continue Playing With Alice After Tour ?

I hate to say it but if anyone should be complaining about people looking bored during a show it should be Alice Cooper. I have watched the 1st show with Orianth from the left corner of the back of the venue. Literally 95% of the fans were just sitting there, and not just sitting there, but sitting...
