"Battle Axe" cover art
The shield that the gladiator is holding strongly resembles the Atlantic Records logo . I have always wondered if Atlantic had shown some interest before you guys went with Polydor, or am I just imagining things? While we're at it, on his Discography page , Si has included the only photo of the sta...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
I have never not liked “Road.” It’s a very good Alice Cooper album. I have to agree that 100 More Miles could have been longer, but that’s a slight gripe. The recent special deluxe albums have taken my eyes off the Road album, but my interest is still right where it was. If I may put forward a slic...

Re: The evolution of rock shows
For years, I had deluded myself into believing that is was some sort of seismic change that came over the concert community. Here you are with the simplest explanation - technology. Thanks again for sharing your helpful insights.

The evolution of rock shows
This subject is something I’ve wondered about for a long time. Listening to the BDB concert makes me ask about the evolution of the pacing in rock shows. It used to be that there were often pregnant pauses between songs. Often it was used to tune instruments on stage. (Hendrix even referred to it a...

Re: Hotel Room/Property damage
Yes! Thanks as always Dennis and Ted. I'm still registering the fact that it only cost a quarter to get something from the vending machine. Gotta love that inflation rate. Not.

Hotel Room/Property damage
Isn’t it ironic that your band was considered to be the worst of the worst, but there aren’t any big stories about you guys destroying hotel rooms, property, etc. The more I read, the more it seems like wrecking stuff was expected of 70s rock stars - almost a requirement. I looked through your book...

Re: Deluxe LITD and MOL. What is out there?
There is an old thread in this Forum that was created long before the recent releases of the aforementioned three DE ACG albums; in it there are lists of possible bonus tracks for all 7 albums. You can scroll down to see the lists for LITD and MOL. Here's a link to the thread: https://www.sickthing...

Here’s hoping there’s good stuff still waiting to be tapped. My guess is, if there was, they’d have already done it.

Re: Yep. Here we are.
However, he has been teasing (this secret other album) for God knows how long. Therein lies the issue - this other album has felt so over-hinted at that I'm kinda sick of waiting for more concrete details. It just gets old. I'd not be asking for a new Alice album so impatiently if I didn't know tha...

Sick Things bkgd vocals
Howdy. At the end of the song “Sick Things,” there is an atonal, kind of disaffected but monstrous background vocal, mirroring the lead… “you whet my appetite…” Zat you? While we’re at it, is that you at the end of “I Love the Dead”? Sounds like the bkgd vocals are “Ding a dong ding dong.” Consider...

Like I said, Bitch Bitch Bitch. I will put on my “patience” hat. I don’t look good in hats. Or anything, for that matter.

Re: Yep. Here we are.
Thanks, guys. These are all strong points. I'm told that it's a good thing to practice patience, but I'm weak in that department. Besides, hints can lead to disappointment. I just hope we're not headed for a big, fat nothing. Weezer put out an entire song promoting their upcoming album, but it was ...

Re: Yep. Here we are.
If the project is waiting on a printer, or something else that’s out of their control, that would be completely understandable. But why not show us a sign that it’s a go? Wasn’t it Paranormal that had an online :10 teaser?

Yep. Here we are.
It’s great that Alice has an ambitious tour schedule ahead of him. I’m sure that everyone in the Coop camp is busy with it. That being said, it is getting to be tiresome waiting for news. Many hints have been thrown about a new group album. Alice himself has alluded to it. How about throwing us a b...

Re: Alice as a media darling
And here is response 2! Being in the UK I didn’t see most of Alice in the media until years later on YouTube or the like. He certainly liked the attention and was able to play to the camera and spin a story or two. Leading edge ? Just don’t know but from what I saw locally I can’t remember anything...

Re: Alice as a media darling
Yay! First response - 200 views in... I think Alice took a lot of cues from the Beatles - especially in their off-the cuff "Coming to America" videos. Kinda like, "If you make them laugh, they'll keep rolling." Think of all the lost footage of our heroes because they were boring. Videotape (or film...

Alice as a media darling
In times past, all somebody had to do was put "Alice" and "Cooper" in the headline, and their product would sell. I am convinced that if a TV show wanted to boost their ratings, they'd list Alice as a performer. I am mesmerized by the access of the media of those days. In fact, I became a member of...
