Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

I fear he has been a roadblock to a properly realised OG album where the weird and unexpected nestle alongside the more commercial numbers. That was the business model from Love it to death. Why not give it another shot? Have you noticed car colors? For years, it's been one of four, across the boar...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

Been getting contradictory responses on any new OG material. Denis said something was recorded but doesn’t know if it will see the light of day and Michael Bruce clearly stated 8 or more songs were in the can with the OG with guest guitarists on the songs filling Glenn’s spot. I would think if the ...

Re: What is this photo?

Here's another pointless question for anyone in the know... The detail in this picture shows a group of guys on Neal's left bass drum. I'd like to think it's a shot of the band, but there appears to be six figures, and their hairstyles don’t look familiar. Any clue who this is? Thanks in advance...

Hey Sickthing’s!
So, my friend just bought Detroit Stories on vinyl, and it’s playing super slow. He’s tried a couple of turntables and got the same thing.
Has anyone else run into this?!
Try flipping the turntable speed from 33 to 45. I’ll bet that fixes it.

Re: Midnight special DISCO torture

This sequence was probably created for the Midnight Special, but whether it aired or not is a whole other mystery. Not really a mystery as the full show has been around for decades, but in poor quality. These new uploads are obviously a million times better then a multi-generation VHS tape, but the...

Re: Midnight special DISCO torture

What a strange and mysterious thing this is. I hate strange mysteries, so I had to take it apart. This video looks like it came from 2 sources - film and video. The frontal “cage” shots (featuring the marching girls wearing Star Trek helmets) look like they were sourced on video. (These elements we...

There's a wider version of the same photo right here on STUK: https://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/10-trivia/t-chicken.php
I knew I'd seen it here. I thought it was under the "Timelines" tab. Thanks again, Si.

Re: What is this photo?

This photo shows a chicken about to get hurled. I thought the chicken incident only happened once in Toronto. These are decidedly different clothes than the ones worn at the Toronto concert . What's happening here? We've known for some time that a chicken appeared at more than one show. That's news...

Yes , it is a gatefold cover that opens. The double inside cover shows the pic that was the original album cover sleeve. One lp only
Is there anything about it that is Halloween-y?

Don't Gatefold Covers open up? W/2Lp's additions are encouraging! The photo's only show original... front cover. I did think the same, I’ll let you know in a day or two. The gatefold is the only reason I ordered it Please do let us know. Curious about the "Halloween Edition." Colored vinyl? An inse...

That barely looks like Alice, and I don't recall seeing anyone in the band playing bland boring Fender guitars like the ones pictu...

Re: How in the...?

I had met Si and hung out with him in America and the UK. I liked his demeanor and his integrity so I visited the site. I found lots of back and forth about the history of the band so I offered to do this in the spirit of bringing fans together with a few of my insights. Envious of you both. Si see...

How in the...?

To quote from "A Clockwork Orange," to what do we owe the extreme pleasure of this surprising visit? It seems like all of a sudden, we Sick Things found ourselves conversing with the actual Dennis Dunaway. Talk about a brush with greatness! Chatting with you is certainly an honor. If possible, woul...

Re: A&E Biography Special

It appears to me that A&E jumped the gun by showing this out of step with reality, but it’s somewhat understandable. They evidently shot this two years ago, and the soundbites they got fit the narrative - “Alice Cooper is all of us. Not just me.” That may be paraphrasing, but it’s practically one o...

I saw the very brave Marconi thing, but didn't understand where Michael was. Of course he was off stage. Sorry for my confusion. I'm going into the kitchen now to ask myself why I went in the kitchen.

Re: "Battle Axe" cover art

The clarity on it is remarkable. I thought the ring ropes were in front of the guitar, which made it look like the Battle Axe was outside the ring - puzzling because of your description. Looking closer, I can see that the ropes are visible through the plexiglass guitar. Thanks for making that clear...

Re: "Battle Axe" cover art

You mentioned the Battle Axe itself. It sounds impressive.
Is that it onstage between Bob’s keyboards and Neal’s drums? Does it still exist somewhere?
