Re: 2022 hopes and dreams

SO would make a great re-release largely due to the opportunity to restore all of the original packaging. Hopefully it will still happen at some point and yes, as this year is the 50th anniversary of the original release...

Re: Road crew

A thoughtful, proactive move on Alice's part. Kudos to him for taking that step.

Re: The great reformation

...If it were up to the wishes of the majority of Alice Cooper (the group), we would have created nearly 30 more albums and shows by now. If only for a time machine... Thanks, Dennis. You rock . Alice Cooper - Original Group and solo combined - have/has released a total of 28 studio albums. So Denn...

Muscle Of Love went gold, didn't it?
I've heard an interview with Neal Smith during which it was mentioned that MOL had sold 800,000 copies. As 500K albums sold constitutes a gold album in the U.S., the answer to your question is yes.

Re: The last temptation with bonustracks

That's NOT 100% true. The latest WB reissues were waiting for approval from the management so they (sometimes) do have to approve releases. i am not sure on this, however i know when i have spoken to some smaller record labels and they actively tried to do reissues of several alice albums and were ...

Re: A Nonsense Question for the Weekend

I've previously mentioned in this website - possibly elsewhere in this Forum - that I have a 2 CD release from the early 90's called Welcome to Our Nightmare which features various U.S. hardcore and alternative Groups and Artists covering ACG and AC solo songs. Black Juju with Lydia Lunch and Rowlan...

^^ I'm afraid so. He died in 1995.

Bob Barker is still alive.

I'm more interested in why Casey Kasem hasn't had them on his show yet. Come on, Casey. Get with it.
Casey Kasem passed away in 2014.

Re: The last temptation with bonustracks

But WB has already two early albums ready to be released with bonus (maybe demo but for sure live concert). But it was never released, very strange because everything was finished. Strange world the musicbizz If I made my best educated guess, I'd say the reason the two albums haven't been released ...

Re: Canceled Tour

I too am only really interested in the business aspect regarding royalties, publishing, etc. Re. songs reverting to their author(s) after a certain amount of time has lapsed, I've read about this happening under certain circumstances; in others, the rights enter the public domain which has happened ...

Re: Secret pictures!

The published version of my book well serves it's intended purpose - to show how high school friends can achieve their dream, and to show the camaraderie and chemistry of that collective driven goal. The stories that were cut from my book tend to pop up in my interviews. Cindy's stories are very mu...

Re: Canceled Tour

^^ Thanks for your reply Dennis. I wasn't aware that Record Companies owned the publishing when recording contracts were signed back in the day, and I know about the publishing lawsuit initiated by Herb Cohen but it slipped my mind when I made my previous post. I know what the apparent outcome of th...

Re: Secret pictures!

^^ The co-Author of Dennis' book has stated that there was a huge amount of material that had to be omitted from 'Snakes..'. Hopefully Cindy can provide a fair amount of great recollections in her book.

Re: Canceled Tour

...was the whole group cut loose by Warner Bros. due to Vincent's going solo? Yet, somewhere along the line did the band secure 1/5 of royalties due the ACG for previous recordings? It's been stated elsewhere in this Forum that the Greatest Hits album and WTMN were the final albums released ...

Re: Love it To Death without Bob

I believe the circulating demos from LITD have the "My Very Own" section included. I've theorized in another thread that it may have been a late decision to cut the 7 minute IIMB/MyVery Own and go with the shorter version and the song list on the back cover reflects an original Side 1/Side 2 runnin...

Re: What if...an alternate ACG reality

^^ Yes, ACG fans do think alike...and to that end, I just came into this Forum to confirm that "Bring Up the Light" was the other song Dennis wrote for LITD, as I wanted to add that info. to my comment in the similar thread in the other Forum. You hypothesize in your first post above about how some ...

Re: Love it To Death without Bob

An interesting hypothesis...I would be curious to hear how an extended I'm Eighteen as it was performed on Beat Club in 1972 would sound in the studio, as that BC version was also an extended jam 'inspired by' the original version of the song. Dennis stated in his book that the ACG agreed to record ...
