Re: Love It To Death T-shirt

Wish I'd kept mine! I bought 2 and gave one to a mate. It was a great design. Like you say, it's different to the usual skulls and snakes stuff.

Love It To Death T-shirt

I have recently found a photo of myself wearing a great t-shirt and I wondered if it was an official item, or a bootleg or if anyone else had the same shirt. The photo is of me cradling my daughter (Alice - of course!) in the summer of 1997. It is a white shirt with the spider eyes on the right slee...

Re: Pure Glen Buxton

I looked at a review of the Sutton book and it appear he does say who played what and where the guitarist comes in. Ie Glen at 1.24 and Mike at 1.50. Oddly enough the reviewer saw this as a negative. I have the book and can confirm that most of the songs are broken down and Chris identifies who is ...

Re: The Best Alice lyric

I saw on Facebook yesterday that someone suggested the lyrics from Pain, and I have to agree. And I'm the loudest one laughing at the saddest wake I'm the salt in the sweat on the cuts of the slaves I was the wound in the side while Jesus prayed I was the filthiest word at the vandalized grave That...

Re: LYRICS

Beautiful Flyaway is such a catchy song! I’ve been listening to Easy Action quite a lot recently and that song is so stuck in my head.

Love the video Steve!

Which makes one wonder how the same person could write "Spark In The Dark"

But then again McCartney wrote "Eleanor Rigby" and then unleashed the yearly plague on the world of "Wonderful Christmas Time".

How about anytime he rhymes ‘face’ and ‘disgrace’ That same rhyme is on dirty diamonds, paranormal and Detroit stories, to name but three without thinking! I wonder if he helped to write We Will Rock You?  I had a friend who decided he didn't like Alice Cooper because of the "We can't...

It's a sad shame that the Billion Dollar Babies Tour lighting was never documented.
It really is. I also find it maddening that I can't see what the Billion Dollar Babies band stageshow looked like as that sounds amazing.

Re: Good to see you again,AC

I thought I knew this video as I bought it on vhs in the 80’s. I bought it via an ad in Kerrang magazine. I’ve now seen on here that this is referred to as a bootleg. There are no skits between the songs, except the Lady Is A Tramp section at the beginning. Instead it had clips from old films and cl...

Re: Chris Sutton book

Also enticed me to go back and have another in depth listen to PFY and EA. Same here! I've owned those albums for years and have tried a few times to get into them. I think I also made the mistake of lumping the 2 together as being the 'pre-Ezrin' albums. They are actually very different to each ot...

Tribute Bands

Hi Dennis, The question about a Swedish band called Billion Dollar Babies made me think about tributes. My opinion is that the Swedish band are doing no harm, in fact they list Alice Cooper as an influence so any fan of theirs will almost certainly spend some money on AC music. I am aware of 3 or 4 ...

Re: Good to see you again,AC

I also see no problem with hiding the band for WTMN or any shows after that, as people are paying to see Alice rather than the band. Hiding the band in any shows before WTMN is wrong though, as that would be like paying to see Black Sabbath and only seeing Ozzy.

Re: Chris Sutton book

I've just ordered it from Hive for £10.49 including postage! That's the cheapest I'd seen and they donate money to a bookshop of your choice. Seems like a win-win to me. I'd never heard of them before, but decided I wanted to try avoiding Mr Amazon. https://www.hive.co.uk/Product/Chris-Sutton/Alice-...

Re: PRETTIES FOR YOU question

Sorry for sort of hijacking the thread, but I had a question similar to VinceRaven above: Do you have a preference for the type of songs you play? I was listening to a couple of your 1971 gigs yesterday and really enjoyed hearing songs like You Drive Me Nervous, Caught In A Dream and Long Way To Go ...

Sun Arise

Hi Dennis. I'm a huge fan of yours. I was telling my wife recently how I used to use a couple of pieces of track for my HotWheels cars as a pretend bass and I'd play along to AC records in my bedroom, doing your high kicks. That Hot Wheels track never went out of tune you know? :) I've always...

Re: I Hate You

Lyrics page: https://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/14-lyrics/detroitstories.php :) Hi Si, I notice that at the end of the lyrics on the part about Glen it says: All: "But most of all we're filled with rage at the empty space you left on stage..." Alice: "What a Syd" Do you think that's a reference to Syd ...
