Re: Small insight on the financials

I’m not going to argue about the legitimacy aspect of this residency discussion, but a Las Vegas residency alone does not mean that he would be laying touring to rest. Kiss, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, and Guns N Roses to name a few have had and some of them are still touring residencies from time to ti...

Re: Desmond Child

The song is good. I hate the production of the album, and the decision to use such an unremarkable vocal effect on it.

Re: Desmond Child

although not a typical Alice song, and somewhat bombastic, I like it. has some nice guitar playing too. At the time it came out, there was some criticism here on the voice effect used... Strange enough, this did not happen as far as I remember when Fireball came out.. Yes because on Fireball he did...

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

I think there maybe a stark contrast between the UK and US. The experience that I have had over the years between bartending/managing a bar and being on tour here in the U.S. is that 80s rock music died a hard death in 1991 as witnessed by all of those bands trying to take a usually darker, less are...

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

Poison is a well-written song compared to the majority of songs from that era, but even it is still lacking in musical integrity to me. I’d love to never have to hear it or the rest of the Trash again. Always bathroom break time when that comes around. Interesting how people like to make all these ...

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

My Stars hasn't been played since 1974. Most people have no idea about that song, but it would be nice to offer something to those who like that era. I guess if the show does end up seeing My Stars dropped, Raped And Freezing is that song for this tour even though he played it about a decade ago. Pr...

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

I just hope he has a third Frankenstein song in the works, so that we get the bookends of FMF and TF plus one mid-set also. I really hate the idea of having to wait so long for another one to appear in the set.

I mean maybe its a fluke or a typo or they decided to drop it, but the Iowa setlist from last night on setlist.fm IS missing My Stars...
The Alice facebook account also does not list it.

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

I should've waited to buy tickets. I'm pretty lukewarm to the setlist, and if My Stars is out for good, it will make it pretty much not worth seeing. The friend that I got them for is not excited since he is a big fan of the four classic ACG albums, and his two favorites, Halo Of Flies and Dwight Fr...

I am still waiting on that Killer album that he told us about. haha.

If it’s not going to be that, I agree with Mr B. and Pitkin that would like to see him explore down the Dada path.

Re: Rise - First reviews

I like it better than anything Alice has been a part of since Dirty Diamonds. It’s far from stellar, but it’s enjoyable. The production and mix is still over the top for my taste, but it doesn’t make the songs come off as bad as Paranormal’s production, except on You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Mem...

Re: Rise - First reviews

The first review doesn’t seem to know that You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory and People Who Died were both covers also. Those two interest me much more than Heroes which I’ve never much cared for.

Re: Best engineered album?

My favorite sounding album is Goes To Hell Dada consumes the listener---it sucks you in. The worst: Constrictor. Goes To Hell is also my favorite sounding album. Engineering and production were both vastly improving year after year in the 70s, and GTH saw drastically improved recording in the drumm...

I’d take the two guitar and keys lineup from the Dragontown/Bare Bones/Eyes tours over three guitars any day.

Re: Revisiting No More Mr. Nice Guy - Live at Alexander Palace

I have been listening to the different live recordings lately. I have about 30 minutes to drive on a motorway to work every day. With a silent car and a good audio system it's some of the best time I have in life :) To my great surprise I like the No Mr. Nice Guy - Live at Alexandra Palace the best...

Re: hollywood vampires live : I want my now

It’s a rock n’ roll song at least. The one thing I get from this song if that even with three guitars, there is still a use for organ/keys that gives added depth to a song that no amount of guitars can make up for. Alice needs some keys out with him again...

Re: ACG

Same thing applies to the solo band. I sure wouldn’t notice if that guitar player from the Iron Maiden cover band wasn’t in the solo band anymore I'd be extremely happy to see that aspect of the band leave for an organ and keys again. The first three shows I saw, all had ZigZag on them, and it was ...

Re: ACG

Alice Cooper (the group) is done (for now). If it was to ever come back it would be with only 1 lead singer and sadly for ACG I imagine a large majority of concert goers would not see the hype or even know any different. Same thing applies to the solo band. I sure wouldn’t notice if that guitar pla...
