Re: Coop's heaviest song?

Yeah i think it all depends on what sharon will let them do. When they reunited they had a clause where nothing can be released under the black sabbath name without ozzy , geezer, tony and bill on it. The only exception is if the material has previously already been released. so sadly i cant see us...

Re: Coop's heaviest song?

Speaking of Sabbath - I would love love LOVE to see Alice collaborate with Tony Iommi on something. Sabbath is dead, but I can't help but think Iommi has a couple of hundred monster riffs laying around just waiting for an opportunity to be put to use. Tony Iommi has been working on and off preparin...

Re: Top 20 Alice Cooper Songs by the Original Lineup

I see someone's been 'revitalizing' some threads in this Forum from years past, great. I see that I never posted my own top 20 ACG songs here although I did make several other comments. My reason for not doing so might have been because I wanted to rank them in order but my order could change fairly...

Re: Alice Unplugged

I'd like to see and hear unplugged versions of these 5 songs from Mr. Misdemeanor's list above, but only if the Original Group participates in all of them:

Desperado
Sun Arise
Blue Turk
Crazy Little Child (Cab Calloway style)
Raped and Freezin' (a full mariachi version)

Re: Revival '69

I certainly agree, ain't that amazing? AC(G) Fans have long wondered if any/all of the audio from Mr. Vincent's performance was recorded/survives, then we find out that there's at least a bit of surviving film footage. Plus yes, the very recently revealed BDB Holiday Tour footage. Speaking of wonder...

Re: Why orange?

Let it be said that the 50th anniversary for “School’s Out” has come and gone without a whisper. In fact, aside from the stellar “Astroturf” release, 2022 has been a dud. Shame. It was posted in another thread in this Forum that the SO 50th Anniversary has been postponed until 2023. Here's the thre...

Re: Holiday Show Found Footage

At that era's ticket prices, we were told, we weren't making anywhere near the money that the media was reporting, as in The New Tycoons (Cover of Forbes Magazine), because we were putting our money back into the show, which meant the stage. At the beginning of one of the chapters in your book, you...

Re: Finally...footage surfaces from BDB Holiday (aka MOL) Tour

I had a bootleg of this show and like most boots, the sound was less than appealing, but enough to do the job. Thank You again for the footage. You're welcome. I know of at least 2 bootleg taken from this Tour: the one you mention from this show and one that I have from Utica. The sound quality of ...

Finally...footage surfaces from BDB Holiday (aka MOL) Tour

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk6elBf0FFo This is Super8 footage so unfortunately it's silent, but still, it's amazing to FINALLY find out about and view footage from the Dec. 1973 BDB Holiday Tour. The footage appears to be (some) highlights from the show and as an aside, this was one of several...

Re: 2022 hopes and dreams

Personally (and with no special insight or info) I don't think you will ever get the reunion you want to see. What you *may* get at some point is an album based around the original band (but likely with guests as well), and a very short "tour" ie New York, LA, London, Detroit and a few other select...

Re: 2022 hopes and dreams

I don't think Alice's words here is any different to what has happened on the last few albums (and very different to MB's statements). There are songs written and recorded with the original guys which may or may not be used at some point and in some form. That's been the case for a decade and no re...

The word now appears to be coming out regarding Alice and the other Original Group Members working together, therefore I'm posting this link: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/alice-cooper-group-new-music/ Unfortunately, once again it looks like what has, is and will be transpiring falls short of expe...

I always listen to AC music via YouTube or CDs. I too buy AC vinyl exclusively for the packaging.

Re: American Pie

In the "extended" performance version of I'm Eighteen in the Beat Club vid. (1972), Alice sings some lyrics/lines from American Pie toward the end of the song. I would tend to consider that it was more of a 'tribute' of sorts to the song, which would tend to lessen the likelihood of there being any ...

I agree that it's worth getting. I consider BDB to be a very well written and informative book about the ACG, particularly the 'MOL era'.

Re: “Elected” Promo Film

The Teenage Lament promo was filmed in New York on December 1st 1973, a lot of it inside and outside the Academy of Music, where coincidentally exactly 2 years earlier they played 2 shows in one night. Here’s the highest quality version you will see on the web https://youtu.be/3lwXsL4FaiM Thanks St...

Re: “Elected” Promo Film

I've never particularly liked the Elected promo film either. I like the promo film for Teenage Lament '74 more, and I believe it was also filmed in NYC. Though I couldn't see the correlation between 'the ACG as prison jailbirds who escape' visuals and the song topic, it made for some interesting vis...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

Based on the new material released over the past 22 years the new record will blow chunks... If it wasn't for the ACG songs written in the 70's he'd have no one show up at his concerts. If it wasn't for Poison he'd have no one show up at his concerts. And that my friend unlike your statement, is a ...
