From Desperado I always heard - You're as stiff as my smoking Beryl

instead of the actual lyrics of "You're as stiff as my smoking barrel"

Re: Sgt.. Peppers.....

Hey tuneylune, you left out The Beatles, The White album from your list. What we have to remember about Sgt pepper is how innovative it was for it's time, just like Jimi Hendrix and Alice. It's so easy to forget or discount how these were such big issues at the time. For me 50 years on and "I saw he...

The money clip is nice, bigger than you think from looking at the description. The bills are nice too. I got mine from the US site a couple of weeks ago. I have also ordered the pin badge which was on pre order at the time.

bigbradwolf wrote - Think I'm going to get the weekend ticket and sod off after Alice, seeing that its his only UK appearance. Anyone thinking the same? I have thought about it a lot, but have decided to give it a miss this time around in favour of seeing Orianthi at the 100 club on Wednesday. Hopef...

Re: All you want is in the limo

A lot of good points here, along with Dark Menace. They really should have taken the rest of the year at least off, rest and recharge and release a live album or Greatest Hits for the years end. Then get MUSCLE OF LOVE out and maybe have a couple more years together. But, this is all speculation. T...

Wow what concept Alice with the backing of the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra. There are so many Cooper classics that I want to hear them perform - anything from the Schools Out album for starters!

Yes, I remember it well and should have made comment on it in my original post. The other connection with this would also be a certain guitarist, whom Alice cla...

Re: The internet ruins everything

Great post for us older boys and girls. 54 this year, and yes the excitement of a new find was always a feeling to treasure. Spent man happy hours thumbing through the racks In record stores and record fairs just to get a little victory. Where have the past 40 years gone?

Re: Blind Speculation

With the Bernie Taupin connection, I always thought that Elton Johns Saturday nights alright for fighting would have been better with Alice singing. It's still a great track and all time classic, but Alice would of given it that little extra edge especially with his snarl.

Looking very doubtful which is bad news indeed. Looking forward all the more to the Orianthi show at the 100 club to help make up for the disappointment of not seeing Alice

I have been reliably informed that amongst others, Alice will cover the following - "Auld Lang Syne, Happy Birthday to you, White Christmas, Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree, always look on the bright side of life and David Bowies Laughing Gnome" ....Lol Why try to second guess what he wil...
