Re: Bob Ezrin Music Matters

Very nice. Not only Bob Ezrin has plenty of interesting stories to tell, but he also tells them in a very funny way ! Seems something went wrong when recording with Rod Stewart, though...

Re: Birthday wishes to Glen Buxton

How to celebrate Glen's birthday : having me a late breakfast featuring my "School's out" mug that friends offered me last monday, while listening to my yellow label Straight "Pretties for you". Yeah, signs of a great week-end ain't it ? :rotfl:

Re: First Alice Album You Ever Owned

Mine was Greatest Hits, 80's reissue, with white label. German pressing. Then I bought From The Inside, second hand copy. Then Love It To Death, School's Out, in the same pressings than Greatest Hits. All of that in 1987.

Re: Zombie Dance

Listening to it right now. I love everything about it, thanks to the impressive cohesion of it all: the cinematic mood, the great production, the very nice musical style, the vocal performance, the harmonica, the warm backing vocals during the chorus, the great & classic guitar riff, the melody, the...

Strange to discover this thread as I was just stating that I'm listening to my 1972 LP right now...

I think that the show opener, "Who do you think we are" leading into "Seven & seven is", also has been posted on YouTube.

Re: Overdubs in 'Fistful Of Alice' ?

I've just sent Earl a message asking if he can confirm if he did play on it or not and will let you know if my source is correct as soon as I hear back Ah, cool. And good idea indeed - the best way to know it. I again checked out my different sources - no trace of that. Let's hope he remembers anyw...

Re: Overdubs in 'Fistful Of Alice' ?

no Earl Slick is credited as playing on Rock n Roll With Me even though you are right about Parker also playing guitar on 1984. Guitarists often do sessions without even meeting the artist/band.[/quote] I'd be curious to know about your source. I've never seen any Diamond Dogs edition stating Earl S...

Re: Killer vs. BDB

Yesterday a friend of mine came home for dinner (a big ACG fan) & we listened to the live LP from the Old School box set - he of course just loved it ! And we talked a lot about the ACG's albums, including about BDB. I love "Killer", which is still, with LITD, the best studio album Alice ever...

Re: Overdubs in 'Fistful Of Alice' ?

(quote) after Bowie parted company with Ronson he played guitar on every track but one on Diamond Dogs (Earl Slick played on the other) but Earl was his guitar player come David Live and he does the business. (unquote) No, in fact, the only track on "Diamond Dogs" that hasn't Bowie on guitar, called...

Oh man, I haven't thought of that : Alice ding something with Danny Elfman ! I have and love his Batman soundtracks, as most of his work generally.

Indeed, this idea is a killer, wolf !

Last night....a nightmare on Le Zénith, Paris

Yeaaaaah..... :) Do you think that already is a good report of the show ? :rotfl: I won't bother you with the set-list, most of probably know it already by heart. No big surprises there anyway, except "Clones" - 'unfortunately' I was already aware of its presence in the current show. And sure it was...

ACG in latest Rock & Folk issue

In its september issue, French Rock magazine Rock & Folk has six pages about the ACG with a few nice pictures and a short review for each album. A good read, a well written and interesting article and it's quite rare to have six pages on the ACG in a magazine !

True. I always thought Alice was probably exagarating a it on a detail or two. Now we can see what he usually tells is word for word what Zappa himself was telling ! "Bizarre", isn't it ?

Re: Meet and Greet: what is okay to ask for ?

Thanks to all for your many replies. ;) GNDM is right, it's all in the purpose of making personnalized "surprise presents" to my friends, since it happens that most of them are Alice Cooper fans ! Not hardcore AC fans, but all having at least seven or eight of his albums. One of them even saw Alice ...
