Re: Mixed reactions
However things like this and the cruise ship thing start getting him dangerously close to it. And once you are under that category I can`t see any way out of it again.
----------- I agree with Si on the cruise ship thing , but "opening" for someone, it's not like Alice is some kind of beginn...

Re: Why?
right question and I regularly explain about the initial ACG whenever talking and explaining about Alice. Brings me to another question : is there any group that had the name of the singer as a groupsname before? Not the Who, not the Beatles, not the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney went on with his W...

Re: Why?
[ It generally doesn't work that way - rightly or wrongly, it seems the majority of people want to hear songs that they know. Also, it isn't a question of leaving "on masse" (you mean 'en masse'), it is that you run the risk of them not buying tickets the next time Alice goes to their town and if th...

Re: Why?
i think it reads as follows: Alice being bored by those questions, but we ( who read/hear everything about Alice )are equally bored hearing Alice telling the same stories once more.. however it's amazing how many times people not aquainted with the Alice story, come up with that the same question..(...

Re: Your favorite LIVE album?
several years ago, on a so called cd-market, i bought a live cd from 78 , live in sanigaw, michigan ( probably a bootleg I realise now, althought it looked very regular at the time , with copy rights mentioning and so on..) this has a strong voiced Alice and a rarely performed Unfinished Sweet on it...
I remember when I sat in front of the radio and listened to Radio Luxembourg on AM (anybody remember the station?) one midnight in late 1973 Yep, it was on that station one evening late ,in the seventies that I first heard this record, especially TL74. Always loved the album. Lis...

Re: Noisecreep: 10 Most Underrated Alice Cooper Songs
agree with most of these songs wonder why things like Pick up the Bones or Every Woman Has a Name (a potential single like Only Woman Bleed) haven't been promoted more. these are meaningfull songs and there are so many opportunities (unfortunately) where these songs would have come to their right.. ...

Re: Bob Greene, Billion Dollar Babies and the Break Up
recently read a review on battle axe ( not a positive one) and the author stated that a year earlier, The Spiders From Mars had attempted (and failed) to release an album on their own, without Bowie. The simularity between it is that a band with an obvious frontman doesn't make it without him. then ...

Re: Muscle of Love Album released 40 years ago
went to the attic this weekend to dig up some old magazines with possible info on MOL there was one in which Hard Hearted Alice (the movie) was announced and they asked Alice about an upcoming record. He said that surely Mike was writing things already, but they concentrated on the promotion of the ...

Re: Muscle of Love Album released 40 years ago
>or make it clear that it was but an image, a character He was doing that as early as 1973 or so (maybe earlier) because he realised it wasn't something that could be maintained. exactly. somehow he mentioned it in Hard Hearted Alice: that is what "you" want to see.. and he said it again several tim...

Re: Muscle of Love Album released 40 years ago
"The aura of danger, outrage, and rebellion was nearly gone" Excactly my thoughts. Songs like TL74 and MWTGG make Alice Cooper a mainstream band, imo. Imo, the sleazy bad ass R&R image and progressive music died with BDB. Very sad. But is it realistic to suppose that Alice or anyone else would be a...

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded
if i remember well, it was in a Headbangers Ball one night around the Hey Stoopid area, that Alice mentioned they had plenty more songs for that album than those that finally made the record. It rained all Night was probably one of them , and a good one imo. Wonder why it was not selected, since it ...

always loved this album : big apple dreaming, perfect song while having to drive some distance, never been sold before , one of my all time favourites, even crazy little child sounds good to me..
and of course, teenage lament 74, that had some success if i remember well..

Re: Alice looks back on 12 career-defining albums
I wonder if Alice was asked the same question again, what the answers would be . Probably he would have other "children" selected :) of course there are landmarks, Pretties for you being his first lp (whereas musically I personally would prefer Easy Action), Constrictor and Trash being important as ...

Re: Your favorite HIGHLIGHT of Alice's career...
many of the highlights have been mentioned yet, but there is another one that I treasure : the interview with Clive James ( to be seen on youtube) for the bbc i played it for several friens of mine who always found it so strange that i was a fan of Alice Cooper without even knowing who he was (hard ...

Re: why do people hate ACAS?
I think the biggest problem with ACAS is that there was so much promise surrounding it - the artwork was really good, the concept (as originally announced) sounded very intriguing, the promo videos were great....and then the actual music just fell flat. that's my feeling too: so m...
