Re: Raped & Freezin
Hmm. This isn't ringing a bell for me, however, it does sound like the kind of thing that would have happened to Michael or someone he knew. Since he wrote it, perhaps he talks about it in his book?

Re: G.B. solos
There are so many great GB solos. I love "Living". I agree with all of the songs that you listed, but I'm not familiar with "I can only give Her Me". Is that from Virgin? I also like things that GB played that weren't solos, like the final note on "Is It My Body" where he plays a low note that creep...

I don't know if they are out there, but there were two mixes of the album.

Re: The Cracking Low Bass Note
You're right, it was plucked too hard. I don't recall for sure, but an educated guess says Bob Ezrin said it was okay and didn't want me to fix it.

Re: Battle Axe
Upon hearing reports of the needle jumping, it was mistakenly assumed that it was due to the mix, and so we paid Jack Richardson to remix the album. As it turned out, the defective albums only existed on copies that were pressed at one of four different pressing plants. But by then, it was so far be...

Re: Medicine Ball Caravan
Yes, we stood out on that bill, but we stood out on most any bill in those days. I can only guess that good management, and Hot Tuna, had a lot to do with our inclusion. Jefferson Airplane had supported us ever since Pretties For You. The show took place in front of the National Archives building in...

Re: Bob Ezrin
Working with Bob hasn't changed. He's still enthusiastic, smiles a lot, and is ready to make quick decisions that keep things moving at a fast pace. Some of those quick decisions can be frustrating when you disagree with them, but that's always outshined by Bob's brilliance. The dynamics have change...

Re: Super Duper Alice Cooper
I have no clue why Michael wasn't even mentioned in that doc, especially since I did 8 hours of interviews and talked about him quite a bit. Yes, at that time, he was difficult to contact, although not impossible. After the film came out, I asked Michael what he thought about not being included and ...

Re: Battle Axe
Unfortunately, I've never heard of any film of the Battle Axe show. If we hadn't spent so much of our own personal money, and if we could have done more than four shows, we probably would have had it filmed.

Re: What's A "sid"? :-D
It was a put-down, meaning something like lame, that Glen used. I don't know if he made it up or if it came from a Bowery Boys film or something. I guess I should ask the other guys about it's origin.

I'm glad that you like the audiobook. People have suggested using it as a guide for a script of some sort but I haven't heard from any film companies. Maybe some day.

Re: Billion Dollar Babies Holiday Tour
I'm not sure why we didn't include "Never Been Sold Before" but "Teenage Lament" seemed a bit mellow and the background vocals were a bit challenging.

The garage was hot! Glen called it the oven. And we couldn't rehearse at night. We were Arizona desert dwellers so our bodies were reasonably climatized. The only people that ever showed up were the cops.

Re: muscle of love
My book covers most of my feelings about MOL. I didn't think it was our final album. Alice Cooper was our group. We worked hard on that album and I'm happy with what we did. Glad to hear that you like it too.

Re: Billion Dollar Babies ( album )
I was at the super jam. I was playing until Rick Grech of Blind Faith showed up and then I handed my bass to him. Yes, for two days both Harry and Keith Moon kept barging in and disrupting our session. They were so drunk they could barely walk. Moon couldn't play but Harry still managed to sing and ...

Re: Joe Bouchard
We didn't get much of a chance to jam during the tours but I would go to Joe's house, or we would go to Neal's house fairly often. Or we would jam with Albert in New York City or at Donald Buck Dharma's parties. We were musicians that hung out together. We're all collaborators, so whenever any of us...

Re: London 2017 dvd/blu ray?
I saw quite a few cameras on the stage at Wembley. The main one in front got knocked over during the show. I haven't heard anything about any releases. As for memories, the backstage gathering with the Tubes was like nine Arizona friends from the 60's had time traveled to 2017 London. And as for our...

Re: Gene Vincent
The festival was in trouble and Joe and Shep said they would help pull it off providing Alice Cooper be on the bill. Hey, wait! It's a Rock and Roll Revival, not a freak fest. Okay, how about having AC back up Gene Vincent? We rehearsed with Gene and had planned to be the Spiders posing as the Blue ...
