Re: Spend Your Night With Alice Cooper Tour!

Sixx AM are fast becoming my favorite band so was great to see both Nikki and DJ jump with Alice in Denmark . I know DJ was estactic to get the chance to join Alice . Out of curiosity how did Alice introduce DJ ? Im sure I heard him say "from Guns n Roses" which would be a little odd . DJ did play ...

Re: Nobody Likes Me

Looked at Life and Crimes again and it says "Nobody Likes Me" is previously unreleased and recorded in 1968. Is that incorrect?
The Life & Crimes version also sounds a lot tighter and more like a finished recording than the Old School version.

Nobody Likes Me

So, there's been two different official CD-releases of Nobody Likes Me, on Life and Crimes and Old School, and both are listed as demos. But it was also released as a single with the Killer tour programme right? What I'm wondering is which version was released as a single? Was it either of the demos...

Re: is It Time For Alice To Experiment A Bit Like Bowie?

If Alice quit touring and didn't release music for 10 years then maybe he'd get better press as well, but would we really want that? No, it wouldn't be the same. Bowie is respected by a broader base of people as an artist. "Where Are We Now?" was a pensive song with an interesting video. It retaine...

Re: is It Time For Alice To Experiment A Bit Like Bowie?

Somehow Bowie manages to stirr up things with whatever he does : when The Next day came out, you simply could not not know it. It was a subject even in the regular, non music press. The Next Day managed to get a lot of press since it was his first album in 10 years and it was suddenly announced whe...

Re: HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES TRACK LISTING REVEALED

I actually think it's easier to hear Alice than Mccartney. But maybe that's just me. Simple but kinda fun. I'm not that familiar with the original so I don't really mind the pretty straightforward version.

Really looking forward to getting the album tomorrow.

Re: Goes to Hell tour

Well I wasn't alive in the 70's either but wasn't the Nightmare show with I Never Cry added in Australia in 77, about a year after the Goes to Hell tour was planned? Seems like a fairly reasonable time to rest before going on tour again. What I'm curious about regarding the tour is: was the stage an...

Re: Zipper catches skin commercial

I thought someone might just have taped it from Swedish TV when it aired but there's no subtitles (which is standard on Swedish TV) and no channel logo. Weird.

It's a great clip anyway.

Re: Zipper catches skin commercial

Well at the start of the clip it says "We saw and heard Talking Heads and David Byrne with Once in a Lifetime" in Swedish, which suggests that it was aired on Swedish TV at least.

Re: HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES TRACK LISTING REVEALED

My thoughts on the tracks so far: I Got A Line On You - Pretty good, a nice fast-paced rocker but it could have been a bit rougher I think. It's start out good but I think Perry Ferrells vocals on the chorus makes it sound a bit to slick. Something about it reminds me of Cheap Trick, in a good way. ...

What Metallica songs?
But yeah, the inclusion I Got A Line On You and School's Out was surprising.

The Fistful of Alice version starts with a bit of Steven, so my guess is that's it.

Re: Alice solo for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Ringo wasn't actually inducted as a solo preformer, he got in by the Award for Musical Excellence which "honors those musicians, producers and others who have spent their careers out of the spotlight working with major artists on various parts of their recording and live careers.". And even then it ...

Re: It even happened to Rudy Vallee!

While I won't deny that a lot of young people probably doesn't know who Alice is, I've had the opposite happen to me with a music teacher who was convinced I wouldn't know who the Rolling Stones was because of my age. I had to tell him several times that I did indeed know them and even liked their m...

From Swinger: "I might be wrong but the gloves wasn't really a thing until The Nightmare Returns right?" Yes - that's correct. If you google Alice cooper 1971 pictures , you can see pictures from the eaerly days, with and without gloves.. there is even one picture where Alice has only one glove, on...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!

You know, Johnny Cash "American Recordings" was almost all covers and/or re-recording of his old songs. Patti Smith second latest album, "Twelve", was a cover album. And while I don't know much about Glen Campbell, just looking at his discography he also recorded a cover album in 2008. Yes. I've ne...

From concolz: >Generating that 'grab 'em by the throat' greatness of his best work won't be easy from here. With respect, that is one of the silliest things I've ever read. When you consider he has been an artist for almost fifty years and is nearly seventy years old, I don't understand why you wou...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!

It's time for young artists to have their chance and to give their generations their voice. Trust me--Alice Cooper could release the best album of his career next year and he would not become relevant to today's music buying public. He is an old man in a young man's game. Does anyone on here really...
