Re: Final Gig in Rio, April 6, 1974

Dennis - from the info I have gathered, it seems there were in fact five Brazil shows. From memory they were: Anhembi, Sao Paolo, March 30th 1974 (laaarge indoors show) Teatro Do Convenciones, Sao Paolo, 1 and 2 April 1974 (two smaller theatre shows) Canecão, Rio De Janeiro, April 5th 1974 (even sma...

Billion Dollar Babies - intermission music.

Hello DD! I'm curious - who's idea was it to use Mussorgsky's "Night On Bald Mountain" between the different segments of the "Billion Dollar Babies" show? Did it come from the band, from management, from Bob, or from Joe Gannon? If not from the band itself - did You like the idea, or were You agains...

My Stars lyrics...

Hello DD! Would You care to give Your thoughts on the meaning of the lyrics of "My Stars"...? It's a lyrically interesting song, but also hard to decipher. I suppose Alice wrote the lyrics, but maybe You have some insight...? (I know about the "Klaatu Barrada Niktu"-ending being from the movie "The ...

Re: LIVE at The Cheetah?

We did work up a stage idea based on the King Solomon's Mines soundtrack where the band would surround Neal's kit and play his drums simultaneously. But the original idea wasn't fully realized until Neal and I did it on his Platinum God album. What I think is the Holy Grail of footage would be the ...

LIVE at The Cheetah?

Hello DD! I was wondering about "Levity Ball" on PFY. I recall old rumours/discussions about it being recorded on a different location than The Cheetah, and even discussions about if it was recorded LIVE or not. So, what's the truth - is it a LIVE recording, and if so, when and where was it recorded...

Big Apple Dreamin' - NSB/Flying Tigers

Hello DD! Just came to think about the different version of "Big Apple Dreamin'" that You performed with Neal in The Neal Smith Band and The Flying Tigers in the late 70's. Was that arrangement something that was tried out in the Alice Cooper/MOL days, or did it evolve later when picking up the song...

Alice At The Palace

Hello DD! From what I understand, the "Alice At The Palace" project morphed into the "Billion Dollar Babies" stage show? Was there any big differencies between the theatre show/BDB tour, and if so, how did they differ? Who came up with the idea? What's was the reason it never happened? I'm intereste...

Hello! And thank You so very much for the replies Dennis. Great to get Your memories/input on those rare old songs. Sorry about the bringing You the feeling of "homework". I just thought it was better to collect all the questions around the same subject, than scatter them in several different thread...

Pre ACG/Early ACG songs, etc...

Hello Dennis! Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to us fans here. Very much appreciated! I was thinking about old songs that didn't fit onto any of the original Alice Cooper albums... I think "The Sound Of A" is one of the best "new" songs Alice has released, so thanks a lot for rememberin...

Re: How the set-list is made ?

Hey this is an interesting subject... I know this is a bit like swearing in church, but I think it might be a case of laziness? First of all - a performer does not HAVE TO play exactly what the audience wants. It's just easier to do more familiar stuff, and it also gets better response from the more...

I believe he also has mentioned "Bed Of Nails" in an interview a few years back - and then he played it in Greece in 2004! And he also played "Trash" a late as 2002. A bit odd isn't it? I mean it's not like he's swearing/using really bad words, or telling people to go get laid asap... Not that I eve...

Thanks for the welcome! :-)
I have never heard of Alice using a plastic rifle on stage, though it might very well have happened...? But, I have seen a picture (in a Johnny Depp biography!) of Alice from the Killer era, holding, what looks like a pistol! Now that's a strange picture! :bam:

Hi there fellow Coop fans! First post here - and what way is better to start off with, than doing a little bragging... :-) Have been lucky enough to get two of Alice's canes (Sweden -98 and Copenhagen -02), a bunch of bills and picks from various tours/guitarists, a couple of smashed balloons (which...
