Re: Our friend, Baz

I've been gone for ages but I recently saw the news on FB and wanted to come here and pay my respects. Baz was such a funny guy, and is a huge part of my fondest memories of all night "fun and games" on the forum back in the day. My heart goes out to his family and those who knew him personally who ...

Hello sickthings! Just back from this show...my first front row experience. I may never recover. :) Here's a link to my photos they're not in order and some are not great but a few turned out really well. Forgive me for being Roxie-centric....I got a few great shots of Chuck too for Jaded's benefit....

Good ole Zombie!
I'm generally a wimp about horror films, but his attention to details like that make me want to see his movies. (though I still haven't been able to get all the way through Devil's Rejects.....)

Re: Alice working on Slash's solo album

Well my my my.
I follow Slash on Twitter and he has been hinting around about a "famous vocalist" but of course he hasn't dropped any names.
How exciting!
I suppose Alice owes Slash for "Vengeance". ;)

Alice in new Lemmy documentary!

apologies if this has been posted before:

Alice is interviewed in the trailer, and he is looking
GOOD!

(note this is NSFW owing to some rough language--it is about Lemmy after all! :)

Re: Zappa's living room?

Wait....they auditioned at his parent's house?!?
Or do you think that's Frank's house and his parents are visiting him?

In any case, very interesting indeed. It must have been kind of a shock to stumble upon that!

Yes. It has to be him--probably some old footage used for a flashback. I'm very excited to see this film!

Edited and deleted numerous posts all over this thread starting with a few name-calling instances from one member that led to derailing the topic and making things personal. Can we please keep this thread on task and refrain from making it nasty again? Admin would sure appreciate that. Thanks. than...

Re: The first time you saw Alice live....

I made a very conscious (and contentious) decision to go alone to my first show. My ex husband and another friend were both begging me to take them and I said NO. I wanted to be "alone" with Alice, and I'm so glad I was.
The next time I took 4 fellas with me...and ignored them all. :rotfl:

Yep. I saw it in Columbus.
I understand the intention (at least I think I do :) but for me having School's Out at the begining is jarring since I associate it so thoroughly with the ending.

Re: I need a fix..............

However much I'd love to love Montreux, the camera angles that cuts every 3 seconds to a new and pointless shot robs all enjoyment out of it for me (tho it sounds great). I agree 100%! I never even bought my own copy of this DVD for that reason, despite the fact that I LOVED that tour. The quick cu...

Re: From A Distance...K. Kelli is a Dead-Ringer for E. Dover!!!

My Fav lineup of the later solo years was - Ryan Roxie, Eric Dover, Chuck Garric and Eric Singer. I thought this was a very strong lineup and capable of great things. I agree! It certainly was the glammiest, and that's alright in my book! :) As for KK looking like Dover, I can kinda see it. ...

Re: Got back from the show. SPOILERS ABOUND, so read with care.

Maybe they'll come up with a better ending too. I mean no disrespect, but there is no possible better ending to an Alice Cooper show than "Schools Out" partytime. I'll give you "Elected" in an election year, but otherwise it's gotta be "Schools Out". I don't think it works so well as a BEGINING, ho...

Thanks Si. I actually had checked the lyrics page before I posted my question. I saw those additional lyrics from the remastered CD, but you are correct that's not what he was singing. Perhaps someone can listen close and try to make out what they are? (I'm gonna try to make it to the Erie PA show i...
