Re: Alice & Stranger Things

Not sure why pics aren't allowed her but there is an eas y to find pic of them with Alice tied to a giant cactus out there. This would be 83 I think.

If my memory is correct there was something about the band and Alice in Amuks fanzine.

Re: Alice & Stranger Things

While the new season of Stranger Things will be released soon, I always thought that some of Alice's songs from the 80's would have been ideal for this TV Show. Searching for connections, I have found this article of a band called Gentleman Afterdark and their song "Open the Door", which is on the ...

Re: I Love America

Yes but songs from those three albums have been played before. Zipper and Da Da we've had nada! I think they are the only two albums in the catalogue that this applies to. I'm sure Detroit Stories will see at most two songs when touring commences.

Warm Ups Pin Ups and Soundboards

I remember reading in Sounds about how Billion Dollar Babies played a killer version of Train Kept A Rollin at a sound check. 1) Did you play any other covers at ACG soundchecks? 2) Bowie and Ferry did covers albums in the early 70's was this ever considered for Alice Cooper? Certainly would have bo...

Re: I Love America

Sadly It's just too obscure. We will never see anything from Zipper or Da Da live. The only way he could get me back into the theatre would be a band reunion ( full show ) or a black out show.

Re: Pure Glen Buxton

I looked at a review of the Sutton book and it appear he does say who played what and where the guitarist comes in. Ie Glen at 1.24 and Mike at 1.50.

Oddly enough the reviewer saw this as a negative.

Re: Pure Glen Buxton

You might want to ask Dennis Dunaway that would be a good place to start. You can also look at some of the Beat Club footage which you can clearly see what Mike and Glen are playing. Derringer plays in two songs only which you can find out about rather easily on this forum. I also believe Chris Sutt...

Re: Being An Alice Cooper Fan in the Early 70s

Health care in this Country is a nightmare and the fact we don't have Universal healthcare when we have seen what a pandemic can do is just staggering. Please correct me if I am wrong but didn't the band have a company set up for salary, royalties etc that would have had healthcare for you guys? I u...

More Odds and Sods

1) Do you and Neal still see Ian Hunter and if so how is he doing? I had heard he was suffering very badly with tinnitus and unable to perform. 2) Can we expect a 45 release of Cold Cold Coffin at some point and how would you feel about an Alice vocal on the flip? 3) I know we are still in the wake ...

Re: Excedrin Headache # 48

I know you said no one would touch you but what about the Whiplash Mascara? I'm thinking this was still band era if not I apologize.

What do you remember about that? Did it sell well?. Did the profits go to you five or just Alice?

Re: 1980's Reunion

Hi Dennis. I would just like to point out that the press on the band splitting up was literally next to nothing. There was a very tiny piece in either Sounds or the NME. I'm talking just a few lines. I was in total shock. There was no way to find out what happened. Bob Greene's book was very difficu...

Writing Credits

Both Pretties For You and Easy Action credited words and music to all five of you. Love It To Death was the first album where we saw individual credits.

Can you tell us the reason for this and did it cause any acrimony in the band?

I've always liked the doo bee doo harmonies on Under My Wheels when the band played it live and the dog at Bowie.

Re: Being An Alice Cooper Fan in the Early 70s

Growing up there was a lot of competition between Bowie and Alice Cooper fans. It didn't seem like you could like both. It was one or the other. I was so known as an Alice Cooper fan in Huyton, Liverpool that people would knock on my door to sell Alice stuff. I bought Pretties and Easy Action from o...

Re: 16 Magazine 1973

I believe it is very collectable now as most of us cut out the pics for scrapbooks etc. I know I had at least three. I had never seen 16 before in Liverpool. I guess the popularity of the band pushed the circulation. I do remember being very confused about certain band members liking Burt Bacharach ...
