1973 Billion Dollar Babies Stage
Dennis, I included a photo of the 1973 B$B stage below. I know the musicians who played on it had complaints about the stage: slippery, jagged flakes that tore your clothes and skin. Unfortunate the musician’s weren’t consulted in the design. But even by today’s standards, if I saw a band with this ...

Re: Deluxe LITD and MOL. What is out there?
I found Dick Clark Productions which has a website. I emailed them in their general inquiry email box but their email address wasn't good anymore.

What we do know is the ABC In Concert programme still exists in full, but they owners simply want silly money for it's use. I don't know if the original tapes (if THEY still exist) have anything not included in the original show.
SI When you say owners, do you mean ABC now owned by Disney?

Drop a Step?
Hello Dennis, When you've performed with Alice more recently do you still play the songs in the same key as they were written in the 70s or do you drop them a 1/2 or 1 step? I know a lot of vocalists have the musicians play in a lower key because it's hard to hit the same notes they hit in their 20s...

Audience Reaction Around the World
As Alice Cooper in the 70s, you played before audiences in Canada, the United States, Europe and Brazil. How did audiences around the world respond to Alice Cooper in the 1970s? Did they all respond the same or were there distinct differences in how the audience reacted to you depending on which cou...

Re: Relive One Great Gig
If I could omit the part about Glen getting his elbow slashed by shards of glass in a nearly disastrous accident in a revolving door, I loved playing at The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Netherlands because the acoustics were perfection so every tonal nuance rang true. My favorite show by other bands...

27 Club
Hello Dennis, Jimi Hendrix died 9.18.1970. Janis Joplin died 10.4.1970 and Jim Morrison died 7.3.1971. All 3 were 27. You and the band personally knew them. Their deaths happened while you were in the Easy Action/Love It to Death era. 1. How did their deaths affect you? Were you shocked or did you s...

Re: Halo Live
As for the scream, I'm not sure what you're calling the solo and which version of the song - studio or live, but generally the band would yell out to each other on stage but if it was a high scream, it was me. If you're talking about a live version, it could have been someone in the crowd. AC Fan L...

Meaning did management want you to do it but you did it begrudgingly because it wasn't your image, or did you guys do it for fun? What was the motivat...

Halo Live
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd8KpOcJ5qw Halo of Flies. Dennis, since I never saw you guys play this live, I had a few questions if you’d be so kind. • Does Glen start the song? • Is that Glen’s guitar feeding back after the lyrics “She’d rather shoot me in my tracks”. • Did Alice leave the stage...

Rotating Stage ***SPOILER ALERT***Michael Allen’s Book
Finished reading Mike Allen’s book. I LOL’d over the rotating stage at the Phoenix Coliseum story! There was no backstage for the EQ and props. The stage was rickety, and the rotation was not smooth. The audience tried to follow you as the stage rotated. Mike had to carry the door for Nobody Likes M...

Re: Live From the Astroturf
Got mine. I ordered mine directly from the Astroturf site. US Amazon didn't have it. The CONS: When the vinyl album first came out, I bought it even though I had no record player. There was no CD or download option. However, I did manage to get the album professionally digitally transferred to CD an...

Re: Vinyl, CD, MP3 or ?
Although I was raised in the era of vinyl, I no longer have a turntable; too inconvenient. I have a great stereo in my car and I crank Classic AC via a thumb drive. At home, I'll watch YouTube Premium (no commercials). If I want the best sound and video, I'll put the officially released DVD of GTSYA...

Wow! I didn't know this existed! So interesting to hear the beginning of The Incredible, the Legendary Alice Cooper! I wish he would have talked for a full hour about making LITD, then do 3 more 1-hour sessions talking about the making of Killer, SO and B$B! Thanks for posting; really enjoyed! Ther...

Re: David Libert - Rock and Roll Warrior
I live 2 hours from where the book is made or shipped out from, but it took me 4 to 6 weeks for me to get it. It was signed. An ok book, I mostly read for the Alice Cooper content. Time frames and personnel get mixed up. He said Neil Smith, should be Neal not Neil as Vince Raven said, used headphone...

Re: Bob Ezrin, Before and After
The way I saw it, beginning with LITD all the way through BDB, Bob Ezrin didn’t just record your songs as you originally created them but was a very active producer for you guys, often deconstructing your songs and building them back up again. Neal has often said that Bob was the 6th member of Alic...
