Re: Soundtrack Songs

I did an internet search for Alice Cooper songs in movies and TV and found a site that showed 41 songs but was missing 3 of the instances in this post. My antivirus gave me a "download denied" message, so I won't pass that link around.

The Dazed and Confused movie also used No More Mr. Nice Guy but I didn't like the scene of some thugs paddling some poor kid, so I didn't post it here.

Soundtrack Songs

It’s awesome your songs showed up years later in popular movies and TV shows. Were there any other famous movies or TV shows where your songs made the soundtrack besides the 3 below? Thanks The Simpsons B$B https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUj1l1cVPi4 The Simpsons School's Out https://www.youtube.com...

Re: Duane Eddy and The Rebels

I just finished listening to your Talkin' Blues podcast where you mention how you decided to be a musician after seeing Duane Eddy and The Rebels at a movie theatre in Phoenix between flicks. I've heard you say this before and I'd heard of Duane Eddy, but I don't think I remember ever having seen t...

Bob Ezrin, Before and After

The way I saw it, beginning with LITD all the way through BDB, Bob Ezrin didn’t just record your songs as you originally created them but was a very active producer for you guys, often deconstructing your songs and building them back up again. Neal has often said that Bob was the 6th member of Alice...

Re: Relive One Great Gig

If I could omit the part about Glen getting his elbow slashed by shards of glass in a nearly disastrous accident in a revolving door, I loved playing at The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Netherlands because the acoustics were perfection so every tonal nuance rang true. My favorite show by other bands...

Sight Seeing

During your time as Alice Cooper in the 70s, you guys toured the US, Canada, Europe and even Brazil. I know that this was business; to hit as many cities as possible to showcase your music to as many concert goers as possible and to do it as efficiently as possible with little lay over time. Given t...

Re: Albums As Works of Art

A side note about this: when I made the switch to CDs back in the '80s, I discovered after a while that I no longer knew the names of all of the songs on most albums. I used to know every title from every album because I spent hours and hours looking at the album cover, studying the album cover, me...

HEADLINERS

At what point did Alice Cooper become THE Headlining Act on the road in the 70s?

I mean, not a few shows here and there but from what point forward were you guys ALWAYS the headliner?

Was it the LITD, Killer, School’s Out or the Billion Dollar Babies’ tour?

Thanks

Re: Choreography

In the movie GTSYAAC, during the School's Out instrumental break a crazed fan apparently attacks Alice from stage left. How did he get past security? The audience might think. It was great theatre since you guys were so controversial with the rumor mill going. No internet so legends develop. There w...

Choreography

Who choreographed the shows from the original days of Alice Cooper from PFY through MOL? Who decided the setlist for the live shows? Was it collaborative or usually just a few people? Did who decided what the choreography would be, change over time? Examples below: LITD: Who said, “Ok Alice, you wea...

A Fighting Band?

Being the long-haired freaks you guys were back in the day and the threats you received as a result from macho dudes who didn’t appreciate the look… did you guys ever have to fight you’re way out of a situation or did you always manage to escape or out wit your tormenters before it came to blows? Myth or Fact?

I think I read somewhere that Neal once punched Alice in the nose or face. It was an accident. Then Alice kind of wrote it into the lyrics of No More Mr. Nice Guy: “Reverend Smythe, he recognized me and punched me in the nose”. Is this a myth or did it really happen? If it did, how did it unfold? Th...

Canceled Tour

I’ve read in numerous places, including this site, that a planned European tour was canceled around March 1974.
This would probably have been an extension of the MOL tour.
Why was it canceled?
Thanks

MIA?

I have a German picture book by Wolfgang-Bubi-Heilemann with pictures of Alice Cooper circa 1972 – 1975. The author reprints some photos from a session done in Germany, dated November 15, 1972. He says, “Alice Cooper agreed to come to my photo studio the next day." "Somewhat surprisingly, he arrived...

Story Time

You said that being a first-time book author, your book publisher limited the number of pages they were willing to print. Thus, you said there were many stories still to be told that didn’t make it into the book. Could you grace us with a story that didn’t make it into the book as if we were all sit...

Financial Disincentives

In his book, Mike Bruce spoke about how you guys met with Alice in Detroit in the 70s to settle for the name. The band was to receive a certain percentage of everything Alice did with the name after WTMN. The % was less than your original percentage of splitting the band cut equally 5 ways. I think ...

School’s Out and Barney Fife

Alice has always said that you guys were in to TV and movies. You can hear the influence in songs like Unfinished Suite/Sweet, Halo of Flies, Gutter Cat, and of course Man with The Golden Gun. I know Glen came up with the opening riff to School’s Out. I’ve been hearing a similarity between Glen’s op...

Stage Side Views

In the late 60s and early 70s, did you or your band mates ever watch Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors and Jimi Hendrix perform from the side of the stage? I know Zeppelin and Pink Floyd were just starting their careers when you crossed paths with them but The Doors and Hendrix were probably well ...
