Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

It pains me to say it but I’m not sure I agree that the original members would be able to write a better album with Alice than the current touring band. They have been recording and writing together again since W2MN and if you were to create an album of purely the ACG songs from W2MN, Paranormal and...

Re: 2022 Tour with the Cult

Just to say that I have just been to the box office at the Manchester arena, it’s only open these days during an actual event and McFly are on tonight (if you can contain your excitement!!) so, I ventured down and booked my tickets for Alice, plenty available, even floor seating. Plenty to be said f...

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

I think the problem is his lack of line crossing and boundary pushing.
We have probably had 25 years of things being quite PG,
I’d absolutely love him to go too far now!!!

Re: "Fantasy Man"

I have always loved this song, it’s a good example of the humour that should be associated with Alice, rather than the more slapstick hint that’s creeping in.
Thematically it’s a curve ball on the album I guess.
Worked really well on the Dragontown tour actually, with trash.

Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace

Given the lack of time to put together a new show and set list, isn’t it most likely to simply be the nightmare castle set and set list?
Almost to the note I guess?
Could be wrong but it seems like such little time to rehearse anything new?

Re: Your most treasured Alice items?

Probably my mint condition copy of ‘me Alice’
However, on the dirty diamonds tour, during a meet and greet, I had Alice sign it, he signed it
‘To Phil, your pal, Alice Cooper’
Rendering it both priceless (to me) and now worthless at the same time!!! Haha!!!

Re: I Love America

Responding to Si, Dada, was used during the raise the dead tour wasn’t it? During the descent into the graveyard of the Hollywood vampires, basically just the word dada from the record, closest to any live rendition I guess we will get. Shame, it’s without question my favourite album, no mans land i...

Re: The Worst Alice lyric

How about anytime he rhymes ‘face’ and ‘disgrace’
That same rhyme is on dirty diamonds, paranormal and Detroit stories, to name but three without thinking!

Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202

I’ve just picked up my copy from a record shop in Amersham, £30. I have to disagree with the general consensus here, I walked out of the shop, looked at the cover and thought it was pretty good, the black, red and silver colour, the really cool special forces, military skull motif.... basically, I j...

Recent sales figures.

Do we have any idea how the sales figures looked for w2mn, Paranormal and Breadcrumbs? I know in these forums we have had some rough ideas about sales figures up to and including along came a spider but, given the high chart positions of Paranormal, I think it hit #6 here in the UK, (that’s last tem...

Re: Have you changed your mind?

I loved Dragontown when it was first released, I was only about 16 when it was, so the louder, heavier, harder the better really, the end of Triggerman, the solo in I just want to be god, the snarl of somewhere in the jungle, loved it! However, listening to it again the other day it just lacks anyth...

Re: Breadcrumbs

HMV in Chester still has 3 copies left and the one in Reading has 1 left, again, all around the 6000 region.
I bought my copies (4 currently, long story) from Both of these HMV’s and obviously they haven’t sold any since then. So perhaps the physical sales have been poor.

Re: Hollywood Vampires meet and greet.

What about the no personal autographs either? So I can’t take anything to be signed, just the photograph. As I said, just seems like such an extraordinary amount of money for there to be such strict limitations. And of course the corollary statement to this is ‘if you don’t like it, just don’t buy i...

Re: Hollywood Vampires meet and greet.

There have been at least two occasions where I have used my own camera at the Alice meet and greets, and when the photos were taken by a member of Alices team there were at least two or three pictures taken and given to us, this Hollywood vampires meet and greet seems to imply just one photograph.Ju...

Hollywood Vampires meet and greet.

I’ve just checked out the meet and greet packages for the UK your next September and I nearly choked on my drink at the price and more specifically the limitations imposed, so, I’ve done about 5 Alice meet and greets over the last 15 years, all for about £500 on average, took a bag full of stuff to ...

Re: Is anyone home ?

To my knowledge it was written specifically for the ‘fistful of Alice’ album. It was written with Dan Wexler (think that’s the spelling), he was a member of the band Icon, Alice made a guest appearance on one of their albums in the late 80’s, subsequently Wexler appears on ‘the last temptation’ and ...

I start by offering the caveat that there are a couple of set list spoilers in this post. I was in floor block A last night, about 10 rows back, the right hand block as you look at the stage and I have to say the atmosphere around me was really good!! There Was head banging to muscle of love, some w...

Re: Breadcrumbs

To reply to Si, could the name before Crazy Jane be ‘kit with the candle’?
Crazy Jane was a comic book character, late 80s early 90s maybe?
I’m sure there was a character in that called something like ‘kit with a candle’
Just a thought, I might be miles away on this.
