Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
I havent even unwrapped it tbh. I have only brought it in the vein hope we get "deluxe" reissues i actually care about (hey stoopid, raise your fist, last temp, constrictor, Trash, from the inside, special forces etc). I was pleasantly surprised with killer and SO but considering B$B has all been ma...

Re: B$B reissue and more?
I have the SACD reissue of Muscle of love in quad, it is nowhere near as good as the quad B$B (which is, quite frankly, the definitive version so far, in my opinion) Maybe its a flaw inherent in the mix itself of Muscle as it just feels so flat and weak. B$B sounds like an absolute beast on the Blu ...

B$B reissue and more?
Hi Dennis, do you have any thoughts on the recent re-issue of B$B? Mine hasn't arrived yet but I'm hearing good things about the packaging and overall a more rounded production (akin to killer and Schools out reissues that had a much wider soundstage and more prominent bass) How would you feel about...

Re: Generative AI
To be fair, ace Frehley has never been a lyrical genius. i love him and i love most of his solo work (especially his mid/late 80s stuff) but "rock soldiers come and rock soldiers go" is hardly Shakespeare!

Re: Alice Songs That Went Over Well Live but Are Rarely Played
i genuinely think nothings free and wind up toy are songs that need to be brought out of retirement.
I love nothings free in and of itself but live was so good (the whole bit on the pre chorus where Alice elevates his voice for the "sign upon the blooded line" bit is pure genius)

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow
I swear like the proverbial sailor in real life (only because my brain uses swear words as a holding pattern while it thinks of the next word.) but i also know in certain circumstances i do not swear - not swearing on a alice forum is hardly a big ask. I get that the whole ticket/seated thing is ann...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow
Are you registered on their site? If not that could be why you don't see anything. I was registered with them (I register with all the likely AC UK venues) and I got an email yesterday morning with the link. It didn't show anything available until exactly 10AM when the page changed and showed ticke...

Re: 2024
I hope the Rob Zombie tour comes to Europe/Uk Personally I'd say they wont come anywhere near the UK, so many bands are not coming anywhere near the UK these days, just too expensive as far as i can find out. Also i would rather not hear rob zombie again. He hasnt done anything good for about 10 ye...

Re: Alice Songs That Went Over Well Live but Are Rarely Played
Wind up toy is an absolute beast of a song and sounded superb live on the CD - never heard this in person sadly. Nothings free and cleansed by fire also absolutely rip, luckily i have heard these in person and they are fantastic especially nothings free. Dragontown is great shout to. Id go for anoth...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
It's great to tell stories about what might have been but what did that $6k ($40k plus today) do at the time? Listening to half a story, grabbing it and using it for an agenda about alleged mistreatment in the past doesn't work for me Your whole statement is very true about perceived "acts" and "re...
