New deluxe photo book

Hi all, My deluxe photo book "thing" turned up today. It is a glossy, hardbound book with some really nice images, some interesting stage notes (lighting/fx notes etc), hand written lyrics and a few other nice bits and pieces. It focuses on the stage side of things and promotional images more than a...

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

They would sell out more shows, they were on Detroit Stories which was a bigger hit than Road, so a new album with them would be another success generating more interest and making more money. Do the maths! As much as i have time for the OG band, i am a fan of solo alice more than the ACG, so i am ...

Re: Final Hammersmith 2024 filmed

The difference is, I would say, substantially due to AC shows being seated and selling the front to the VIPS, leaving the biggest fans stuck further back or up in the circle. If the front rows are jumping and singing, it spreads back from them and the bands feed off it. When they are sitting down o...

Re: Final Hammersmith 2024 filmed

hammersmith SHOULD be a great gig, but if the crowd were as bad as they were on the first night (that i attended) I doubt the atmosphere will be any good. but on the plus side it will have some cool tunes we dont always get.
i will look forward to it.

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

And take out the Pink Floyd bit in School's Out, cannot stand them. i didnt mind it for a change but it is getting old now. I like it and surprised how well it works but i think he should stand on the quality of the song itself and schools out is one of the greatest singles of all time (eclipsed on...

Re: Muscle of love expanded

Totally love the 2nd LP. It's almost, (almost), like getting a new original Alice Cooper Group LP. It rocks harder than the official release and sounds better without all the sugar on top. It just has a different vibe and sounds more like the previous albums. It is missing some lead guitar work mos...

Re: Muscle of love expanded

My package was delivered while i was at a gig for hardcore superstar and south of salem. So when i got back i had to have a quick listen and i listened to it properly today. The second disc is awesome. The early/alternate versions are brilliant and i prefer several of them to the finished products. ...

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

You just talking about the covers in the setlist or the whole thing? I hated the covers but really enjoyed the rest Yeah the covers, i agree the rest of it was decent (the highlight being He's back) but that covers section was just the absolute worst. Absolutely killed the entire vibe and the energ...

Re: Theatre of Death 2 LP

For me the sound is good.
on the live blu ray daemon johnsons guitar is really far down the mix and its always bothered me. Even jimmy degrasso drums have been sapped of their power. It always makes me think that they had issues with tech on the night and had to salvage a bad mix/performance

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

So that's only 8 songs. Let's say he did a setlist of 18 songs (as per Olympia live album), that's 10 setlist slots left. 5 new songs, 3 for deep cuts, 2 for other fan favourites. I think an allocation like that could work. thats as good a break down as any. Tbh i think the last few years he has do...

Re: Theatre of Death 2 LP

Has anyone heard this new LP to know if the sound mix is any better than the live bluray/dvd/stream? i think its a great set but one of the worst sound mixes of any of his gigs.

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

I think Bob ezrin is a brilliant producer. But i am increasingly concerned with how much control other people have said Bob has over Alices direction/musical style. I genuinely love W2MN - i think its an amazing album. Its not a very good sequel to Welcome to my nightmare as the horror is largely mi...

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

i dont think alice needs to play as many of the same songs as he thinks he does, but i think alice has shook up the setlist a fair amount over the last few years. Just look at the setlist from theatre of death to raise the dead to nightmare castle tour. The main issue with alice is he conflates song...

Re: Muscle of love expanded

Re: Were There Any Alice Songs You Were Surprised Didn't Become Hits?

"What baby wants" was such a missed opportunity. I just remember my daughters and friends all liking it - all of whom do not like alice cooper hahahaha Brutal Planet should have been a hit. But from what i remember of the promotion it was kinda sporadic and weirdly focused. It kinda felt like they w...

Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment

I thought Poison was a bit off. Not sure why. The backing vocals - i was at london last night and the backing vocals were exceedingly odd, too loud and very weird. The opening didnt really work for me either - i think because welcome to the show and lock me up are essentially doing the exact same t...

Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment

Apparently they couldn't use the snake at some German shows this time due to some local issues, so Snakebite was dropped. It *may* be back for the UK shows were using the snake isn't an issue. I'm not being funny but if i dont get to see/hear snakebite live because of "snake issues" i will be very ...

Re: Sophie Lloyd's "Shred Version" of "Poison"

I like her stuff, i have her debut album and its a solid album - it does share allot of similarities with Nitas work and second solo album but both are good in their own ways.
I like this shred version. A great song and good shred version definitely.
