Re: Enjoy Your Day

Are there any stories about how you celebrated your birthday when you were on tour with the band ... or are they best left to the imagination ?? !! I have a photo of me at the Galesi Estate circa '72 blowing out candles on a cake that Cindy made. Alice is in it. He has a beer and is wearing jeans a...

I’m pretty sure it was even mentioned that Neal didn’t play on it in Michael’s book although the drummer wasn’t named

Allmost at my home. Shame I was hit two times with import duties.
This is what I was worried about.
Mestreech is in Holland though. All the UK drops seem to have made it through unhindered.

Re: Muscle of love expanded

Pssst. keep a secret: There is an awesome little fact involving a familiar name that is revealed in the new booklet. Hmmm . There’s lots of awesome little facts. I read the booklet with your comments in mind and I’m trying to figure out which one you’re referring to. Currently my guess is something...

Re: Muscle of love expanded

Here's the tracking info. Looks like it's legit from the States. Hmm, okay, so that confirms that. Anyone else received it in the UK yet? Mine arrived yesterday and my thoughts are pretty much as has already been noted. The remaster sounds great, interesting booklet, nice outtakes and flimsy paper ...

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

Just for fun, I'd like to see a concert where it was all album title songs running from PFY through to Road in age order. Think this would satisfy (to a point) long term and newer fans. The only problem with that is that there’s quite a few albums without title tracks including the two you mentione...

Re: Here's a stupid question

I think you’re right. Can’t find anything from the BP tour now that I’ve looked. New level of stupid question - I can see him using the buckle on at least two different belts. What’s that all about?? It’s probably a buckle cover rather than an actual buckle. So it could be worn on various belts

Re: Desmond Child talks not doing Trash 2

He may have got a few of his facts wrong but I’ve always found Desmond comes over as affable and candid. He gets a lot of stick from fans and musicians for what he does but without him a lot of them wouldn’t be in the position they are today. I know it’s an unpopular opinion here but I actually agre...

Re: Were There Any Alice Songs You Were Surprised Didn't Become Hits?

Under My Wheels There was a video clip on here not so long ago where Alice was asked this very question and, if I recall rightly, he named Lost in America and Love's A Loaded Gun . I reckon Love's A Loaded Gun would have had a decent chance at going big had it been around early enough to follow Poi...

Steven Crayn stood out on "Social Debris." For some reason, I kind of overlook guitar solos. Not that one.

Re: Michael Allen's book

I just finished reading this about half an hour ago. I really enjoyed it. Every book I’ve read by those who were there helps paint a more vivid picture of what it must have been like and all the characters become more realised. I’m now really looking forward to Neal’s account but the one I’m really...

Re: Don't Blow Your Mind: The Mascot Sessions

Hi Dennis I’m guessing this was before Michael joined the group, so you had Don’t Blow Your Mind already? In his book, Dennis states that Alice and him wrote DBYM following MB's encouragement for the Group to start writing their own songs. I'm interested about Michael recording his own original son...
