Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Which brings me to my last point. This would have been a perfect time to set the record straight and give credit to those who actually played on B$B. Wagner, Hunter, Dolin, Mashbir deserve their credit for their contributions to the legendary album. GB didn't play a note and gets full credit. What ...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
In the notes, Cooper recalls writing “I Love The Dead” and “Sick Things.” He says, “We were writing those songs looking at each other, and every time we’d write a line I’d say, ‘Oh, this is gonna kill them. Oh, they’re gonna hate us on this one.’ But at the same time, it was almost like an Edgar Al...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
While I agree with everyone suggesting there's likely nothing new included here, the one thing we can probably be assured off is that the LP packaging will be first class... and isn't that 90% of why a lot of us buy these vinyl reissues? If it was just any new material we would only buy the CD vers...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
It’s on Amazon Uk now (although no price as yet) with a picture of the set. From what I can see by straining my eyes at the open booklet it appears to have I love the dead followed by Hello Hooray, BDB, Elected, I’m Eighteen and Raped and Freezing. So I’m guessing a live show at least. I really hope...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
You’re way off! Good, the amount of albums i have with 3 songs per side is ridiculous and it ruins the listening experience imo having change sides so often I totally get what you mean. I understand it when an album wouldn’t comfortably fit on a single Lp but when you have things like Frank Ferdina...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Id expect 2LPs are the album So that leaves 1LP probably 6 to 8 tracks long, what could that be? Or am i way off? i did not get the recent releases of killer or schools out. i am just assuming the usual trend of vinyl being 3 to 4 songs per side these days. I suppose they could do BDB on 3 sides, b...

My favorite era apart from the original band has the blackout period. I also like From the Inside despite its production.

That’s actually 31That’s 30 for the singer , I know he’s fit for his age, but that’s pushing it maybejacknifejohnny wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 4:04 amWould probably be better to set it up in a way where you get a double header of like 15 songs with the solo band, 15 with the ACG, and encore with both.

Re: Screaming Lord Sutch on Alice Cooper
I wasn’t there at the time but I have a collection of NME magazines from the 60’s and he was regularly featured. I gather that he and his band were a popular live act rather than a chart sensation. While Heaven Wept wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 1:40 pmLet's be honest for a moment. Indirectly Poisoned
Out of interest Dennis how much of an effect did Poison becoming a hit have on you? Did you see much of an upsurge in interest? I know the song was my gateway to music and I got a copy of Trash for my 14th birthday. By Christmas I had Greatest Hits, Schools Out and Love it to Death and had discovere...

I always thought the “boneyard” segment of the live arrangement of “is it my body” sounded like a prototype for the riff too

Looney tune fuzz
Hi Dennis, I hope you’re good. One of my favourite guitar sounds ever has always been that Velcro fuzz on looney tune! Do you recall who was actually playing it? I’ve always assumed it was Glen but maybe it was Michael or maybe Reggie might have been jamming with you. Thanks for your seemingly unque...

Re: The Lace and Whiskey Era
I wasn’t there at the time so have no contemporary experience of it however and old workmate told me how Alice had gone from originally being perceived as genuinely subversive to, by the late seventies, being seen as no more dangerous than an episode of Scooby Doo.

Re: Another "Halo Of Flies" question
On the subject of the Moog, the late Brian Nelson suggested that the horn section on the last part of "Under My Wheels" was a Moog as well. Does this sound accurate? I was shocked at that because it really does sound like a horns section! I’d be very surprised if it turned out that they were the Mo...
