Re: Alice & Stranger Things

This is the first I've heard of this. I could not find any mention in Wagner's book (if anyone can find one let me know). I'm guessing this was done after the Dada sessions as Shep dispatched Wagner to get Alice to go to Toronto to record the album. Alice was very reluctant to go. I'm guessing this ...

Re: I Love America

As big of a fan of Dada as I am I don't think the song would fit in his set, at least in it's full recorded form. I can see him playing a few verses and segue into another song but a full performance would throw off the flow of any set. I think it would be great if Alice had the pre-recorded version...

Re: Pure Glen Buxton

I'm pretty certain it was all GB on the first two albums and Love It To Death. I think it's with Killer when Ezrin started using outside players. DD recently commented on a thread in his section of the forum that GB "was all over" School's Out. It is known it is Wagner playing the great leads on My ...

LYRICS

My question is: Are there any lyrics to songs in which Alice is given a song writing credit that were not written by him? I understand that songwriting can be a collaboration in all aspects, and that song lyrics could be written by one or many of the writers. It seems that when a singer is credited ...

Re: The Best Alice lyric

Which makes one wonder how the same person could write "Spark In The Dark"

But then again McCartney wrote "Eleanor Rigby" and then unleashed the yearly plague on the world of "Wonderful Christmas Time".

Re: The Best Alice lyric

Every line in that song is brilliant. My personal favorite is:

Im the lines on the face of the tramp at the bar. Im the reds by the bed of the suicide star

Bob Dylan was right about Alice.

Re: The Worst Alice lyric

Thrill My Gorilla "Sukie honey, we're gonna turn back the clock To a time when we danced to volcanic rock" the only lines I could conceive Alice actually writing in this song are: "Where were you when monkey turned to man Where were you when the monkey hit the fan" I would guess the rest was all Kane.

Re: 1980's Reunion

I understand. Did that get in the way of attempts at past reunions?
Hopefully there will be one last proper tour of the original band...even if it is limited to big cities or markets.

Re: 1980's Reunion

Im guessing the obstacles to it happening over the years were more business related then personal...possibly even contractual? There was a guy on this forum who posted under many names who used to blame Alice and Shep for everything. You'd think this guy was an original member of the band. We're his...

Re: No Alice for RSD?

I think a 12" extended disco version of "No More Love At Your Convenience" would be an ideal RSD release. It could be a picture disc that looks like a glitter disco ball.

Re: Alice w/Elvis

Alice's story about meeting Elvis in "Golf Monster" is great. I have a feeling it was highly embellished but it does provide for some great imagery. Alice really knows how to tell a story---embellished or not. BTW---I just read where Alice got his first toke from a joint from Jimi Hendrix. I wonder ...

Re: My Stars

Thank you very much. It doesn't get better than hearing the truth from someone who was there for it all. I always felt Wagner had more input on My Stars and I think championed as much on this forum so I will gladly eat those words. It's funny what you said about being friends and being uncredited. W...

My Stars

Thank you Dennis for giving us the opportunity to ask questions to someone who was/is part of it all. Over the years there have been several debates/arguments etc. over events and I always openly asked for any band member(s) to enter the discussion to provide the truth. We got one better with you ge...

Re: The Alice Cooper Show 1977

I never really cared much for live albums with a few exceptions, but this live album is one of the worst. I don't recall Wagner talking about it in his book but I will give it another look. I can understand why he chose not to talk about it as I'm sure it was pushed out by WB with little input by an...

Re: In the Court of the Cooper King

Toyah would make a perfect Baby Jane Hudson in a musical version of "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?". The character Blanche, Jane's sister , can be re-written as a man and become Jane's brother. A perfect role for Alice. Alice always wanted to stretch out into Broadway well here's his chance. Are y...

Re: In the Court of the Cooper King

I actually enjoyed this. It's great to see Fripp having fun with nonsense. It would be great to see these two collaborate with Alice on some sort of similar lighthearted fun.

Alice and Toyah working together on something would be a riot.

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

I don't watch videos when I listen to music. Regardless of the visuals in the video, this has zero ---absolutely zero--connection to his horror character. His delivery, phrasing and overall tone of the song is far from "horror Alice". Much in the same way his delivery and phrasing on most of "Trash"...
