Re: 1981 Special Forces Gig - Colourised

Kiss doesn't even have a "Thrill My Gorilla" moment.

KISS SUCKS!
Are you aware that Alice will tour with Ace?
He sucks too. Alice also toured with Marilyn Manson and he also sucks. Motley Crue----suck. Vinny Vincent Invasion----suck.

Re: ALICE WRITING WITH DESMOND CHILD AGAIN.

Maybe we will get the geriatric Alice Bon Jovi. It would be a great visual to Alice in that ridiculous nail jacket and an adult diaper.

Re: How many photos of the Dada era exist? (before Alice got sober for good)

Thanks for posting the links. I never saw any of these photos before.

Dada is Alice's masterpiece and best sounding album. It's great to see that it was recorded and produced in a shack! My Iove of the album just got greater after seeing these photos.

I'm surprised he hasn't Bon Jovized "Dead Babies" yet.

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

To me, it isn't about a few expletives - I've been known to paint the air dark at times myself. The line-crossing comes in terms of mentioning J-Lo in a song or trying to be Steven Tyler on the live intro to I'm Your Gun. And most definitely being influenced by Bon Jovi in the 80's. Embarrassing th...

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

Also, Alice liked the use of "oink" so much he used it again on Zipper when he and Patti Donahue sing "oink off" at the end of "I Like Girls"

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

I believe Alice also has mentioned that the character will murder and kill but is polite enough never to use profanity.

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

Where is there profanity in "enough's enough"? On Apple music the song is rate explicit and contains the "f-word" in the provided lyrics. I don't have the best hearing in the world so I want argue what I hear. The lyrics are right on the album cover. Also Alice made it a point never to curse l. It ...

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

The whole point of "I Love The Dead" was to be offensive. It was bait.

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975

Apologies if this has been answered already. I've often wondered how the contract negotiations materialised between the ACG, AC solo and Warner? Did Alice effectively continue the existing deal that the band had with Warner or was it a new deal altogether? I remember reading somewhere that the band...

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975

In My Own Way is a plodding pap-fest of nothingness. Think Captain & Tenille on a bad day; the scraps at the bottom of Eric Carmen's bin. Platinum God sounds like something Kiss tossed out with the trash. As for Battle Axe - it's lamer than Lazarus, in a karaoke Heavy Metal Kids kinda way. Three du...

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975

A parallel to BDB's was SAHB ( without Alex ). Also in 77. They released an album called Fourplay and actually had a deal with SAHB's Mountain label. They also had a tour lined up and got some tv spots. A great press ad featured them in the studio with Alex, mouth taped up and bound, in the foregro...

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975

It's my opinion that Alice was well served by leaving all that drama behind and going out on his own. You had all of the ego, Glen and his demons and being absent in the studio since School's Out, and the changing music scene as well. Add in all of the substance abuse by ALL involved and like some ...

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975

I find it very strange that both Michael and Neal decided to finance their own albums without a label pending. Neals decision was just bizarre as he hired Jack Douglas and The New York Philharmonic! I'm guessing that didn't come cheap. Also he didn't have enough songs for a full album!! No surprise...
