Re: A "School's Out" question

Thanks Dennis, As I was a teenage ACG fan I was impressed by the stage presence of The SAHB on The Midnight Special or maybe Rock Concert. I remember their cover of "Framed" & searched for the LP for awhile. I know that they toured the US but didn't seem to transfer "Across The Pond". Can you descri...

A "School's Out" question

I'm sure you are aware that The SAHB covered the song. For their Scottish cover I thought the band captured the essence. Were The SAHB your competition or an incentive? They seemed to tread the "Art Rock" platform also. Alex was unique because he had been around forever. Lastly, did Glen comment on ...

Re: Your most treasured Alice items?

I had the B$B tour book, the Bob Greene book, a promo of Reflected/Living, original PFY and EA, bunch of autographs, Madhouse Rock tee, quad 8 track of MOL, magazines, just tons of stuff...for some reason I threw it all away. I guess I quit collecting. Sorry to hear that. :( But, who has the abilit...

Re: 1980's Reunion

What the club scene will be like in the new normal is all up in the air now. It's always been tough out there but there have been some great clubs with fair owners. I talked to Jack Richardson in his later days. He wasn't too well at that time. We talked for over an hour. Somehow Seeger came up and...

Re: 1980's Reunion

In the Spring of 1997 during an extended stay in the hospital for surgery, I got lots of snail mail from well wishers from all over the world. That was a very welcome surprise. And later on, through the internet, and meeting people at gigs near and far, I came to realize that Michael, Neal, Glen, a...

Which makes one wonder how the same person could write "Spark In The Dark" But then again McCartney wrote "Eleanor Rigby" and then unleashed the yearly plague on the world of "Wonderful Christmas Time". Even w/Wings Paul was oftentimes sappy along with the Beatles.:rotfl: John was there to give him...

Re: Being An Alice Cooper Fan in the Early 70s

Growing up there was a lot of competition between Bowie and Alice Cooper fans. It didn't seem like you could like both. It was one or the other. I was so known as an Alice Cooper fan in Huyton, Liverpool that people would knock on my door to sell Alice stuff. I bought Pretties and Easy Action from ...

Re: The Best Alice lyric

On a few songs on the Trash he does this bit at the end of most songs that goes over the outro chorus lyrics that is not documented in the lyric sheets...like in spark of the dark I am sure it is "You stupid little liar, baby you can set my match on fire"....I always thought those parts where prett...

Dr. Dreary, We've known for a long time about Cereal Kyler. But, you've been checking in for about 10yrs. now. Did anybody but (maybe not) Si know that? If you didn't post much (or at all) that's flying under the radar! We truly enjoy your honesty & contributions to this site! Thank you.

Re: Tribute Bands

I avoided door deals so perhaps they were planning to bump us without pay. That would have been my next question. Thank you! I've read that Chuck Berry wanted cash in hand before he hit the stage with a pick-up Band. I believe that The Boss & E Street was one of 'em. Just showed up in his Ca...

Re: Tribute Bands

Hi Dennis, The question about a Swedish band called Billion Dollar Babies made me think about tributes. My opinion is that the Swedish band are doing no harm, in fact they list Alice Cooper as an influence so any fan of theirs will almost certainly spend some money on AC music. I am aware of 3 or 4...

Re: Good to see you again,AC

Thanks Dennis, I don't see why taking Michael out of the photo gave it a "cleaner" look. Just another singer-centric knee jerk executive decision. ::((: Since the film was featuring a Concert by the ACG & included the band in other settings, shouldn't a photo of the whole band onstage been more of a...

Well played Dennis!
With the internet you look up Billion Dollar Babies & it points to ACG LP & the Billion Dollar Babies U.S. Band.

Re: Promoters and Alice Cooper

I have no problem with you chipping in but only Dennis can answer this. No negativity at all. It's pretty common knowledge here how big a fan of the band I am. I don't need to prove anything. Dennis brought up that it was just as they were catching their stride it was over. I have never questioned ...
