Re: Muscle of love expanded

Just in time for Christmas! Newly announced autographed editions are going to be available through TalkShopLive.[/url] I wish I'd have known earlier. I just can't justify buying this album yet again. That is taking the piss a little. They must know many people will have already bought it. It should...

Took delivery of the vinyl today, in Scotland.
Were you hit by import duties/VAT/etc? If so how much?
Shipping and handling added $15.99 to the $39.88 cost of the set in the original transaction, for a total price of just over £43.00. Wasn't hit by anything else after that.

Re: Muscle of love expanded

Took delivery of the vinyl today, in Scotland. Album sounds fantastic and the alternate versions are excellent. The comments in the booklet are suitably illuminating. If I was to nitpick, the fact that the records are in plain paper and not polylined sleeves is disappointing, especially considering ...

At the end of the album, does he say “Thank you, life”? Not sure if that’s what I heard.

Strangely prophetic, if so… considering what may have happened.

It's "Thank you, wife" because she appeared onstage with him on that tour as well.

Re: Desmond Child talks not doing Trash 2

He deserves some credit for the colossal exaggeration on how badly Raise Your Fist and Yell sold. We've heard him use that exact figure before and he's clearly sticking with it.

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change

The thing I don't understand is why they never dabble with playing little snippets of songs that would thrill the hardcore fans but not hang around long enough to bore those that are there for the hits. Something in the way of how a small part of Vicious Rumours was occasionally slotted into School'...

It's appears to be a Nigerian fake news site. Ignore it.
Ha! Wild.

I didn't think of checking the authenticity, since it wasn't asking me for cash. :)

Cheers Si!

Re: Muscle of love expanded

So you have the vinyl/cd received? Tell us more please I don't have the deluxe yet. I've had the email saying it's been shipped, but I'm in Scotland, so it won't arrive too soon. I only ordered the vinyl. What I was saying is that I made a digital playlist in the track order Dennis suggested and I ...

Re: Muscle of love expanded

I was notified that the release was coming after Warner/Rhino had already decided what songs would be included. "Baby Please Don't Stop" would have been nice, as well as "School's Back In" but perhaps someday. Brian Kehew did a great job restoring and mixing the outtakes that were available though....

Platinum God

Hey Dennis,

Having taken delivery of the 50th anniversary release, which I think sounds superb on vinyl, I was wondering if you had any stories you'd care to share about the recording of the album?

Thanks

Re: Were There Any Alice Songs You Were Surprised Didn't Become Hits?

Under My Wheels really deserved to be a big hit. It certainly contained plenty of key ingredients to be so. I think Dennis may have semi-jokingly said it might have done better had it been called something like 'Telephone is Ringing' and he may have a point. There was a video clip on here not so lo...

Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment

Snake and Snakebite were both there last night. A great gig! I agree. Thought it was superb start to finish. The screens definitely suit some songs better than others but they did enhance proceedings. It's certainly advantageous that Alice has been playing so many dates before getting to the UK as ...

Historic Bass Guitars

Hey Dennis,

Here's a trivial question for the weekend.

If you were able to own any bass guitar in the world, either known to be in existence or presumed lost, is there one particular guitar you would covet?

Thanks

Hot and Cold

Hey Dennis, Here's another very random question for you. As someone who has played in a vast number of environments, both outdoors and in, I was wondering what the hottest temperature you've ever had to play in was? Likewise, was there any occasion you had to play when it was absolutely freezing? Th...
