Re: Graffiti

Hiya recoop,
Was sprayed on the side of Anglia Square by the flyover. They're gonna knock the square down so graffiti artists are going leary on the place. Funnily though, Alice is about the only piece the Council have covered up, barstewards!

Re: uk festivals-why no Alice say at Glastonbury?

I personally, old as I am, wouldn't mind going to a festival and standing in a field all day (used to do alot of fruit-picking as a kid) as long as there was more than one band worth watching. But Glastonbury!!! What a joke, where exactly would you put Alice? Somewhere between 'Echo and the Bunnymen...

Re: The Alice Cooper Kid

She seems like a perfectly normal, well adjusted kid  Its a shame her parents won't let her on fansites though, I'm sure she could tell Andy a thing or two! (only joking). Funnily enuff, when my youngest was a baby and started grizzling and crying, as they do, the only thing that stopped him w...

Re: Why Was Dept Of Youth A Flop?

I get that piece and I suppose I'm speaking more of the song in general than what went over publically, it's just a shame that this tune didn't go higher or reach as far. While some folks mourn the departure of the more sinister character in the mid-70s, I find the showtune/ballad influence from th...

Re: Why Was Dept Of Youth A Flop?

DOY was a flop because it's a lame song. Have to disagree with you, my good man. Department Of Youth highlights some of the initial innocence of the Alice character. Out of all the dangerous traits and aspects of Alice that have progressed up to the Welcome To My Nightmare album, DOY is a nice vent...

Re: Why Was Dept Of Youth A Flop?

DOY was a flop because it's a lame song.

Poison was a hit because it's catchy. It's still a mainstay in rock clubs and kids who were 2 yrs old when it was released still 'rock out' to it.

Re: Aviva name change on You Tube

Strolled past the Norwich Union main office yesterday evening. A rather fine builing with pillars and staues etc, unfortunately dwarfed by a coupla nasty office towers that NU added later. and wondered if they will have to chisel of the Norwich Union inscription and carve in 'Aviva', whoever da hell...

Christmas wishes

As Gunner keeps pointing out the forum has been quiet for awhile, so lets get some seasonal spirit going here (and maybe stir up some dreams for us old and more cynical Sickies) What Alice Cooper related wish would you make this year. Please remember that Santa is magical and can grant anything.... ...

I would love to hear Alice do Bill Withers' 'Aint no sunshine'.
He could make the song sound so much more sinister.. with a little help from Steven.. :axe:

Re: New Alice Guitar/Bass Tabs & Chords

Thanks Steven, will Email you in a tick! I wouldn't have got that WTMN chord if not for criss' input, I was on the wrong part of fretboard before that. Looking forward to Might as well be on Mars, love that song! I got bored this morning and learnt and tabbed Woman of mass distraction (not the solo ...

Re: New Alice Guitar/Bass Tabs & Chords

I've always loved the little intro to Wake Me Gently, but have never been able to find it tabbed. So I've tried to learn it and tab it myself.
I'm not sure about the 3 chords near the end though.
Could I possibly Email it to anyone out there for their opinion please?

Re: Alice and Slash?

Slash looks and sounds like Alice's guitarist. Slash is the Alice guitarist that never was really. If you put, say, Kane Roberts next to Slash...who would you think was more suited to Alice sound, attitude and image wise? ;) Overall I would say that Slash is more suited to the 'Alice' sound and att...

Re: New Alice Guitar/Bass Tabs & Chords

Thinking about it, I suppose the best way to play WTMN on ONE guitar would be to remove the thinner 'E' and 'A' strings from a 12 string and play this: e--------------------------------7--- B-------------------------------7---- G------------------------------7----- D-----------------------------9---...

Re: New Alice Guitar/Bass Tabs & Chords

By George I think Ive cracked it!! Had to dust off my 12 string and teach Mrs Axeman the 6string part, first thing she's ever learned, but I think we got the solution. The open E from the 6string has to resonate while the 12 string plays e---------7--------------- B--------7---------------- G-------...
