Re: Film upgrades
Sorry Si, that’s what I’m getting at, there aren’t enough people there to support a positive decision on this. Should probably have said “are there REALLY…” If it’s one or two thousand then it’s a complete non-starter based on the time, effort and costs, unless you are going to charge a fortune for ...

Re: Film upgrades
Unfortunately, I think you’re right. There is no obvious scale to the core fanbase that would make it an easy decision to invest here. Sure, Alice does a great job of keeping the name and catalogue alive through the tours but that is where the money is now. Are one or two hundred thousand folk reall...

Re: Alice and Whistle Pig
Having just saturated myself with the odd dram or five over Hogmanay I’m on the wagon now but I’ll be paying £1.99 for my alcohol free amber nectar - Irn Bru.

Re: If There was a Radical Setlist Change
Change the setlist and half the price of tickets, might just go again if that happened. And take out the Pink Floyd bit in School's Out, cannot stand them. I think Alice is fair with tickets tbh if you play the long game. When Oasis mania hit the UK I spent a good 5 hours queing to get 4 tickets at...

Re: European 2025 Tour
Sat right in front of them at the Alice gig at Glasgow Hydro either in 2017 or 2022. Surreal evening with a drunk and chatty Winston from Still Game behind my wife and Phil behind my mate. Really friendly nice guys.

Re: Muscle of love expanded
What’s the deal with the UK here?
Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. We don’t have big numbers but we certainly have commitment. I’d have thought there would be more or less a guarantee of reasonable numbers here..

Certainly not the best covers but ideal if you have a baby grandson staying over.

Re: Muscle of love expanded
Allmost at my home. Shame I was hit two times with import duties. This is what I was worried about. Well, that just put me off a lot. I’ve been on the edge here as I wasn’t a big fan of MOL in the first place. Comments were tipping me towards buying it but it was a top end price for me in the first...

Re: Here's a stupid question
I think you’re right. Can’t find anything from the BP tour now that I’ve looked.
New level of stupid question - I can see him using the buckle on at least two different belts. What’s that all about??

You just talking about the covers in the setlist or the whole thing? I hated the covers but really enjoyed the rest.Saint&Sinner wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 3:35 pmBut i have enjoyed greatly the last few gigs he has been doing. this is a far cry from the frankly horrendous "Raise the dead" setlist *shudders* that was just all shades of bad.

Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202
I don’t play this often but even the thought of the gig is enough to bring some of the emotion of the night back. Found the Special forces T-shirt I bought at the gig when I was looking out a shirt for the recent gig in Glasgow. Gave me two thoughts. 1) Not in a million years would I have expected t...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Destroyer was the album that introduced me to Kiss but I didn’t stay for long as despite listening to a few of their albums over the years they did nothing for me. Apart from about half of Alive, the Elder was the only other album that I remotely enjoyed and strangely that was Ezrin as well.

Just listened. Enjoyed it. Felt a bit raw but that made it for me. I’m not a fan of deluxe albums which dump everything they can find on you. If this is typical of MoL then I’m in for it.

No idea of the back story but the first time I think I saw it was the Brutal Planet tour. Happy to be corrected though.

Not quite the thread here I know but imagine what might have come next if Love at Your Convenience was a big hit….

Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment
Agree about the opening. What might have seemed like a good idea doesn’t really come off for me. I thought Alice was in the zone in Glasgow but Ryan looked on autopilot sometimes and more focussed on his party trick of throwing and catching his plectrum (it is quite cool though). Only other niggle f...

Gimme or Blow Me A Kiss. If either of these had hit it may have resulted in Alice’s industrial phase lasting a bit longer. Loved Brutal Planet.

Sorry I missed you. Was hanging about the merch stalls for about 25 mins before the start and then in the breaks. Went to the Ben Nevis after but only a few fans there as everyone seemed to go home. Monday night..
