Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment

But you get a 4 1/2 minute drum solo, a Nita solo and the Black Widow jam that goes for 6 1/2 minutes. 6 1/2 minutes during which Alice gets to catch a breath, change clothes, get a drink, sit down for a minute, etc, as well as showcase the band doing what they do so well. There is never any excuse...

Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment

I'd love it if he did a Metallica style tour where he did 2 nights at each venue, with a different set list each night. No need to do the theatrics, just play the songs. He could either do one night of hits and then a night of deeper cuts, or mix it up. I'd also love if he did a residency somewhere ...

I listen to vinyl in my office/man-den. If I'm out and about I'll use Spotify.

I'd definitely be interested in an 80's book. Everything up to Constrictor, but I realise I'm certainly a minority.

Re: Gold discs

This is great stuff Dennis! Do you know when you received your platinum disc for LITD? As when I google MCA-3566-PL5 it brings up a 1983 album by Men Without Hats: https://www.discogs.com/release/8657162-Men-Without-Hats-Rhythm-Of-Youth If you got your disc after 1983 then it's likely that you could...

Re: Gold discs

Thanks for the response Dennis! I have asked Google and thought some of the answers were interesting/amusing: "I remember reading about The Dandy Warhols opening up and playing their Australian gold record award and finding out that it was "Rio" by Duran Duran - Odd since their next album, "Welcome ...

Gold discs

Hi Dennis, I saw your post on Facebook with your gold disc for Killer. Have you ever tried putting any of your award discs on a turntable? I wonder if it really is Killer in that frame?

i feel the opportunities to see Alice live are fast dwindling.
Yep, although I remember thinking the same thing when he toured in 1986 (see my profile pic) - and every tour since!

Re: Re-evaluating Alice

Starting to get into the psychology here a little. Is it really that they aren’t as good or is it because 80%+ of fans start their journeys when they are in their teens and at their most impressionable? Usually when the act is new on the scene or having a comeback and offering something different t...

Re: Solo Alice

As for From The Inside and Flush The Fashion, to be candidly honest, I'm not familiar with those albums. For me, From the Inside is Alice’s second best solo album, after Welcome to My Nightmare. It’s dark but commercial, which is always a winning formula. There isn’t a bad song on the album. Jackkn...

^ tempted me to retry but every time i use the sickthings code i get the same 115 block at Manch, virtually the same seat, IIRC.
It was my mate who snagged the tickets using a venue pre-sale link. He was getting the block 115 before.

2022 Tour with the Cult

It's a co-headlining tour. Does that mean they take it in turns to end the show? Any idea when or if we'll learn the order that they play at each date?

Re: Funding Circle advert

This is an old advert they have started to run again recently. It first went out in January 2020. The version I'm most often seeing on TV at the moment is a shorter version then the one you link to. Aha! That'll explain why I didn't see it mentioned in the 'Latest News' section! Should have known t...
