Re: Solo Alice

Hi Dennis, 1. I’m curious to how you felt/feel about Alice’s string of ballad singles immediately after the breakup. “Only Women B,” “I Never Cry,” “You & Me,” and “How You Gonna See Me Now?” 2. I always thought the original band would have made a powerful contribution to the From the Inside album....

so do you not really keep up with music ? either in the rock/metal world or pop scene or whatever?
Sure, I like the Foo Fighters, Dimma, Christine Ohlman, Bruno Mars, and others but that's a different question.

Re: Alice Cooper acoustic promo poster, rare b/w

One was auctioned late last year by Backstage Auctions. Listed at $150. Sadly no image there though. Hi Si, Yes I did read the listing, however I didn't see the poster, I remember as a 8 year old before my uncle gave it to me, just staring at it endlessly on the wall, it's the coolest Rock n Roll P...

Re: Alice Cooper acoustic promo poster, rare b/w

Hello Dennis Dunaway I'm just curious are you aware of the Original Alice Cooper Band acoustic amp promo poster it's in black and white and it looked to be from 71. It had Michael Bruce playing in front of acoustic amps, Neal Smith playing the huge kit and center stage was Alice with microphone in ...

Re: Your Choice of Weekend Listening

Hey Dennis, Please forgive the slightly bland question, lifted from one of the monthly music mags, but a few Friday beers got me pondering what your answer might be. Do you have a particular artist or song that's a favourite to get you going on a Friday/Saturday? And do you have a favourite for a m...

Re: A Romantic Question!

Hey Dennis, Do you and Cindy have a tune that is special for the both of you? Sorry if that's a bit too personal a question, but the world can always use a bit of romance. Me and my special lady friend had our first dance to Another Girl, Another Planet by The Only Ones many, many years ago, so tha...

Re: A few questions from a friend

Concerning my favorite bass parts, I would rather hear what bass parts your friend likes. I like my bass part on "Desert Nightwish" but hardly anyone knows of it because it isn't something that I did in the 70's. Check it out here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAJe3Pi ... Re: A few questions from a friend

1. Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds. 2. Blue Coupe have created three albums, played lots of shows, made music videos, and continue to have fun. We've spent years together so I've learned a lot about the BÖC lyrical mystique. 3. As always, I listen to all kinds of music, but I spend most of my tim...

Re: Man With The Golden Gun

Greetings. When Man With The Golden Gun wasn't chosen as the James Bond theme, what were the thoughts of yourself and the rest of the group? Thanks. Even though we had our hopes up for it to happen, we knew that James Bond Themes were traditionally by UK artists. They didn't choose Lulu's song over...

Re: Dali Hologram

The hologram was featured in the virtual Dreams of Dali. I saw it at the Dali Museum in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Of course viewing it via the full virtual headgear is far more dramatic than this video of it, but this is still pretty cool.

Re: Dali Hologram

I was reading Michaels book last night and he said the band paid $500 each for the hologram to be made. Does this mean you might actually own it if you paid for its comission? I have read that it resides somewhere in Spain. Dali approached us with the idea. I don't recall paying for the hologram so...

Was looking through Michael's book last night and there is a pic of Neal and Charlie.
That photo was taken backstage at the Pierre Cardin Theater. If you look close, you can see the bandage on Charlie's swollen nose.

Thanks for those spot on comments Dennis. Alice has a nice tribute on his page as well I see.
Missing Charlie will be ongoing as we see footage from the upcoming Stones Tour.

It was a big shock finding out that wasn't Alice playing harp/harmonica on Working Up A Sweat.
Because of scheduling and deadlines, it didn't shock me. But I also wish that Alice had played it.

Re: Muscle of Love

Do you remember what was the last song you worked on and how long a gap was there when Ezrin walked and Douglas got on board? Also was there any fear that Ezrin had gone or was it a collective band, minus Alice, sigh of relief? The last song I worked on? Do you mean with Ezrin? Last song on MoL? We...

Re: Brazil '74

1. We had no idea that it was our last show. At that point, Alice going solo still seemed like an impossibility to me. We were best friends that had started the band from nothing and, along with our other friends, built it to the glittery top of the rock pile. We were on the verge of signing a new r...

Re: A Shakespeare Cabaret, August 1973

At that point, Alice was being pulled away to do lots of stuff that the rest of us only heard about after it happened. I heard that he sang along to a backing tape but I don't know for sure. It had become obvious to Michael, Neal, Glen, and I that Alice was being presented as a solo entertainer and ...

Re: Thoughts on Charlie watts

Charlie came to our show at the Pierre Cardin Theater in Paris. During our set, I would see him watching from the wings. He had a bandage on his nose and when Neal and I asked him what had happened, he said, "I ran into a door." He was iconic, classy, and stoic. Everybody loves Charlie. In America, ...

Mr. D. Thanks for providing insights and answering questions from us Sickthings, certainly a loyal and enthusiastic bunch. MoL is a great album but following BDB was always going to be a challenge. I understand that Bob Ezrin was / is a very 'hands on' kind of producer. With the different team on M...
