"The Etherington Memorial building has a loading dock which faces "The Rock" site, and a Christian band called "Silent Cry" played to a crowd of about 30 people, including about five film/still photographers. Alice arrived in a golf buggy, then transferred to a large JCB Digger, which he was being instructed to use. He was wearing his long Doctoral robes, a mortar board and a pair of sunglasses. The photographers snapped away.
When Alice took the stage, he greeted Jordin affectionately. There was a lady from Grand Canyon University there. Some children brought up a banner, signed by people from all over Phoenix, wishing the project well. Alice was very gracious to Jordin and said that he'd been thrilled to see her wearing a Solid Rock Foundation bracelet for her appearances on "American Idol." She, of course, had been a previous winner of "The Proof of the Pudding." This is an annual talent show held at Cooperstown, with the two winners performing at Christmas Pudding.
The Campus Chaplain came on stage to say a prayer, then Alice apologised for having to go. He said he and Jordin had to be at the Dodge Theater for sound checks for Christmas Pudding. They went around to the other side of the building. The security was tight, particularly until Jordin left. Then Alice came out, and I got to spend a short few minutes with him, and his friend, Jeff, who's a manager for Solid Rock Foundation."

January 12-20th, 2008 Alice will be attending the Scottsdale Annual Collector Car Event which happens between Jan. 12-20th, 2008. This year he'll be selling a "1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing custom re-creation" which will be auctioned with profits going to "The Rock" kids center project.
