Alice Cooper Chord Tablature: Generation Landslide

Generation Landslide

Words and music by
From the album Billion Dollar Babies (1973)
Transcribed by Jeff Gower (jgower@gator.net)

INTRO:
G7/F (VI) - F/E (V) - Eb,Ebmaj7 (III) - G/D (VII) - G7/F (VI) - F/E (V) -
C (I) - G,F
(Hint: the guitar here does not have to play the bass notes really - the
bass player is playing those - the guitar player can play a very easy
sequence of two-note chords while keeping the 3rd (G) string open
throughout - for example, the G7 at the VI position is simply played by
playing the first string at the 7th fret and the second string at the
6th fret and leaving the 3rd string open; the F at the V position is playing
the first string at the 5th fret and the second string at the 6th fret
while keeping the 3rd string open; the Eb is 1st string, 3rd fret, second
string 4th fret, 3rd string open; the Ebmaj7 is 1st string 3rd fret, second
string 3rd fret, 3rd string open; the G at VII position is first string
7th fret, second string 8th fret, 3rd string open; the C at first
position is open first string, second string 1st fret, 3rd string open;
and finally, the final G,F are just the G and F chords played unaltered -
of course, if you can put those bass notes in there as well, it sounds
just like the guitar/bass combination on the record! - it is quite
easy really, once you get it down)
