Flo And Eddie

Howard Volman and Eddie Kayman, a.k.a. The Phloresent Leach and Eddie (they used the pseudonyms when they joined up with Zappa, for contractual reasons, and they stuck), started life in the Turtles who had a huge hit in the '60s with 'Happy Together'. Latter they joined Frank Zappa's Mother's Of Invention and even performed an Alice skit during 'What Kind Of Girl Do You Think I Am' on Zappa's Fillmore East album. (Buy)

They released various albums under their own name and supported Alice on the 'Billion Dollar Babies' tour and frequently accompanied Alice to Press conferences much to the anger of the other band members. Alice took them because "they make me laugh".

They also contributed backing vocals to 'From The Inside', 'Flush The Fashion' and 'Zipper Catches Skin'.

Flo and Eddie reformed The Turtles in the late 90`s and you can catch up with them for more info at theturtles.com
