1976 - The American Music Awards, Alice appeared with Diana Ross. He comes out and within seconds he's running off the stage. He grabs someone from the audience (actually Sheryl Cooper) and attacks her only to be held back by security. He breaks free and runs across the stage as the strains of 'Go To Hell' start up. He then performs part of 'Wish You Were Here' and then 'I Never Cry'.

1989 - MTV Awards - Presented award with Christina Applegate (Married With Children) to Living Colour.

October 1994 - Foundations Forum, Los Angeles - Alice received a lifetime achievement award.

27th January 1997 - American Music Awards - This was the appearance with Pat Boone. Boone had just released an album called 'In A Metal Mood - No More Mr Nice Guy' which consisted of rock covers. Boone appeared in leather with fake tattoos and the two exchanged there lines. At one stage, Alice was going to appear dressed as Boone (all white) but changed his mind(?)

26th April 1996 - The 5th Annual Motor City Music Awards took place at the State Theater. Alice was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award (along with Grand Funk and The Motown Funk Brothers). He has frequently been rumoured to be performing at these awards due to his connections with Detroit but this has yet to happen. While he was in Detroit, he also threw out the first pitch at the Tigers Baseball game.

Alice Cooper was presented a lifetime achievement award by the following four people: Dick Kernan - Specs Howard School of Broadcasting/WRIF Detroit, Al Wilson - WABX Detroit, Rosalie Trombley - Music Director, CKLW Windsor and Johnny "Bee" Badanjek - drummer.
All four say a few words about Alice. Public access went to commercial in the middle of Al Wilson's story (idiots). Rosalie Trombley relates the story of how "I'm Eighteen" broke out in Detroit/Windsor and Johnny Bee reveals that Alice had to break from recording 'Welcome To My Nightmare' every day at 7:30 to watch "Happy Days".
A four minute video collage is shown prior to the vignettes. All the clips looked very Prime Cut-ish with a single two second clip looking unfamiliar to me. Alice takes the stage dressed in black shirt and black leather jacket(normal looking, not a stage jacket).


"You're worthy, you're worthy. Wow! You're all drunk. I know it. You're all drunk. Listen, his is great, getting a Lifetime Achievement Award. It kind of makes you feel that your life is almost over. Are they trying to tell me something? There are so many people to thank. I want to thank the Lord especially for giving me a lifetime...which is good. These people back here (gestures to presenters). The radio people who really took a chance, especially Rosalie who is still paying for it for playing my record. And ABX and WRIF and everybody. I mean, they really stood behind us for 25...30 years now. Detroit is still the home of rock and roll and I tell everybody that. I also want to thank a little 87 year old man that lives here in Detroit who played left handed Stratocaster way before Jimi Hendrix did. And that man is my uncle Vince who I was named after. He bought me my first rock and roll record which was "Roll Over Beethoven" by Chuck Berry. And that was the first moment of Alice Cooper, I think, when I heard that record. That was something that was really impressing to me. Just the idea that somebody could sound like that. Anyways, I want you to know that I live in Phoenix but my heart and soul is still in Detroit... along with my liver and a couple of stolen cars. And we'll see you when we come back here at Pine Knob on the 25th. Come on down. You name a song, we'll play it. Thanks a lot!"

11th March 1997 - Alice made a brief presentation speech on the VH1 Honors show.

"Burn, Baby, Burn" from the "X-Files Soundtrack" by Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper was nominated for a February 26th 1997 Grammy in the Best Metal Performance category. Needless to say it didn't win (Rage Against The Machine won).

October 1997 - The Eyegore Award - Alice was been named as the first recipient of the Eyegore Award, an honour bestowed upon him by the cast and crew of the American TV series, Halloween Horror Nights, for his contribution to fantasy and horror. Alice was singled out because of his stage props, including the guillotine, and electric chair and the occasional snake, plus songs such as "Welcome To My Nightmare" and "I Love The Dead"

Alice once sponsored his own Living Legend Award to recognise some of his heroes. Jack Benny and George Burns were the first recipients. The award was in the form of a curled-up snake. One of these Awards is now in the Paul Brenton collection.

Five Alice songs have received BMI awards - 'No More Mr Nice Guy', 'Only Women Bleed', 'You And Me', 'I Never Cry' and 'How You Gonna See Me Now'.

THE INTERNATIONAL HORROR GUILD named Alice as 2001 Living Legend Award winner. He is the first performer to be so honored. IHG Living Legends are individuals who have made a meritorious and notable contribution and/or have substantially influenced the field of horror/dark fantasy. Previous recipients, all from the literary field, include Ray Bradbury, Clive Barker, Hugh B. Cave, Edward W. Bryant, Richard Matheson, and Harlan Ellison.
The award recognizing outstanding achievements in the field of horror and dark fantasy from the year 2000 was presented during DragonCon, August 31-September 3, 2001 at the Hyatt Regency, Atlanta, GA."

On Thursday, December 19th 2002 ALICE COOPER was inducted into the newly established Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame. Alice performed at the 2nd Annual Christmas Pudding Show the same evening at Celebrity Theatre, where he was presented with an honorary Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame plaque.
