I heard this on the Bruce Dickinson radio show this week. I didn't like "Steal That Car", but did like "Perfect", and what I heard of "Dirty Diamonds", I kind of liked. It starts out in an odd manner. I rated this one Average, because it wasn't immediately a hit with me; yet I think it might grow on me more once I have the actual CD, where it'll sound much clearer than internet radio. I doubt this would be a candidate for a released single, though.
I now see what he means by 'dirty diamonds'. Actual diamonds that are simply stolen goods. I was expecting, or maybe hoping, that Alice would have played with a double-meaning with the phrase, and talk about how everyone is just 'cut' different, with many different 'facets', and so on. A metaphor or analogy to the phrase 'dirty diamonds', where they don't reflect back perfect light all the time. Anyway...

Dirty Diamonds
WoW what can i say about this tune >
First off the lyric s will make you feel you are part of a crew of thiefs that would slit someones throat to get ahold of those dirty diamonds .
Awesome up tempo tune , and the brass section is a great addition that reminds me of the 70s cooper band . This song could almost fit on the schools out album .
I cant say enough about this tune awesome stuff from the coop , if you like the coop even half as much as i do this song alone is enogh to make you want to go out a buy the album .
Awesome stuff

hehe.
Believe it or not, the Ad that I created on the front page that Si perfected has the saying "Diamonds are Forever." I came up with that BEFORE i even heard the song Dirty Diamonds or knew the lyrics. Waaay before! Si can vouch for me on that one. I predicted a verse of the song hehe.
So who said Diamonds are forever? Alice :D
