Detroit Stories Vinyl
Looking for a favour here really.
I heard a while ago that the vinyl version of Detroit Stories features a longer version of 'Rock'n'Roll' and have now confirmed it. It has just under a minute extra before the vocals come in, unlike the Cd where Alice comes in almost immediately.
However there seems some question as to whether ALL versions of the vinyl have this longer version. So far I know the purple version definitely does.
If anyone has other colours and are able to check if they are the same long version of 'Rock'n'Roll' it would be appreciated.
My suspicion is that they ARE all the same, but would like confirmation.
Cheers.

Is the extra time similar to the intro by Hunter/Wagner on R 'n' R Animal?Si wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 9:06 pmLooking for a favour here really.

Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
It runs through the verse chord sequence instrumentally four times before the vocals come in.Daggers & Contracts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 9:34 pmIs the extra time similar to the intro by Hunter/Wagner on R 'n' R Animal?
For example: take the instrumental bit before the second verse, double the length, and stick it at the beginning of the song.

Now, I'm disappointed that I didn't order the vinyl!

Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
Rock and roll is too long on the CD. It should be 1 minute shorter, I can't imagine a longer version.

Longer version on my black vinyl copy. Much better than CD intro.

Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
On my purple vinyl, as well as the extended intro, the instrumental break is extended after the guitar solo by approximately 30 seconds, making the vinyl LP version of the song around a minute longer than the one on the CD

I have the clear version and the track is longer
Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
Thank you.
Purple, Black and clear confirmed.
Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
I just confirmed that my splatter vinyl copy has the instrumental intro.

Good Records
Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
Red vinyl is the extended intro which enhances the song in my opinion. Can't believe I didn't spot it before.
Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
I wonder if all these records were pressed at the same plant with the same stampers, they just changed the color combinations according to the orders.

Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl
Do we have a digital version with the "new" that isn't vinyl. (yet?)
