It looks like he is trying to capture the artistic qualities of Raise Your Fist And Yell with this cover.
I'm not being mocking or facetious here, but the artwork looks like Mickey Mouse is terrorizing Detroit. I can't unsee that.
Post of the day! Dead on observation!!!
You're welcome.

no word on content or number of discs on this link.....
Fingers crossed for Paris on blu ray. Or London, with the original band for the encores :)

On Nuclear Blast there is now another version listed, Crystal Clear vinyl (limited to 500 copies):
https://www.nuclearblast.de/en/products ... vinyl.html

As for the limited boxset version, apparently there is a T-shirt in there as well. Nuclear Blast mentions the following contents:
CD Digipak, "A Paranormal Evening at The Olympia Paris" Blu-ray Disc, T-Shirt in size XL (Gildan Softtsyle, 100% cotton), a small flashlight and three stickers.

No pictures yet though.

The cover makes Live at the Glasgow Apollo artwork look classy and understated.

This is starting to get silly. How much money do they think we have?

For £50 I would want the supposed 6 discs to be

1 the new album
2 Paris blue ray
3 AstroTurf blue ray
4 Original band encores blue ray
5 Live at the Glasgow Apollo cd
6 ???

No t-shirt or flashlight required !

Any suggestions for an imaginary 6th disc ?

I doubt it would be Astroturf, earMusic don't own the rights to that, or the Glasgow album for that matter.

I wonder how many exclusive vinyl colours will appear. That definitely seems to be the trend right now, to release as many exclusive colour variants. The collector in me wants them all, but my bank account is already screaming at me.

So far we have black, red (Amazon) and crystal clear (NB). I already checked EMP (which is called Large in The Netherlands) and they seem to only have the black vinyl listed. Will EarMusic come with an exclusive colour variety as well? :/

Whether or not the cover is a decent concept, why are the eyes so bad?

Am I alone in seeing quite a strong similarity to the movie poster for The Dark Knight?

Vinyl copy?

I'm hoping that this set will include the standard CD plus one of the vinyl variants so I can cancel a few of the other pre-ordered items. Knowing craft EarMusic, all the stuff in this set will be 'Exclusive' versions though :rotfl:
Visit my fan site: http://www.welcometomynightmare.co.uk

That's a polite request not an order

My best guess for the 6 discs would be:
double vinyl
CD
DVD
Blu-Ray (yes both - seen it in a previous set)
And then maybe a CD of Breadcrumbs

If the dimensions are anything to go by, the box set isn't big enough to hold a vinyl.

It would be cool to see the Olympia show, even if it doesn't really have anything to do with 'Detroit Stories'.

I'd accept some great songs in lieu of all the 'hype' packaging. Yeah...I know I ask too much.

First single is 'Rock'n'Roll' and it's yet another cover, this time that well known Detroit band Velvet Underground....
(they're from NYC)
Apparently Lou Reed WROTE it in Detroit.. kinda tenuous surely...

I think it's more to do with Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels putting it out as a single in '71. Another cover - in addition to the Breadcrumbs tracks - will almost certainly be Our Love Will Change The World, by Detroit's Outrageous Cherry (2004).

Not according to the Rolling Stone article just published. They quote the VU/Lou Reed reason it's on there haha

But yeah, also getting a little worried this is going to have waaaay to many covers on it, but we'll see...
