Re: Constrictor v RYFAY
Did you watch the whole vid?
If so, can you give us a synopsis?
All I can hear is Kanes voice being too sharp & loud.

I did actually despite pretty much hating those albums. Sound wasn't a problem. RYFAY comes out on top. Kane talks tech on some songs, says he wasn't on drugs then talks about being on drugs. He was certainly on steroids. Talks about Alice being able to write a song in 15 minutes. It's actually a fun idea especially as the artist is involved.

Kane talks about RYFAY being more fun as the band had just come off tour and were really starting to gel. Praises Ken Mary over the drum machine that played on the previous albums and raves about Kip Winger and his harpsichord arrangement on Gale.
All three seem to worship the awful plodding He's Back as if it is a classic like School's Out.

There is also an interview with MB on there in which Michael can't remember anyone's name! He does tell a funny story about Alice dodging him for years as he thought Michael was going to beat him up.

It is great to hear Kane's musing on the background of the songs, really interesting! As for He's Back, it's a pop song, nothing more can be said....except my sister who didn't really like rock, loved the song when she heard it upon it's release, but I imagine people buying the album because of He's Back, must of have been confused!!!

Not as confused as someone buying The Ramones End Of The Century because of Baby I Love You.

I love both of those albums. Raise Your Fist and Yell is one of my favorite Alice albums ever. The second half of that album is amazing. Great, great stuff.
Re: Constrictor v RYFAY
I finally got the chance to watch the clip. Informative. Kane refers to RYFAY as "Freedom" several times which makes me wonder if that was the working title for the album.
If only it was called that in the end as it would have saved us all from that ridiculous cover art!
