Australian bushfire concert
Just been confirmed that Alice will headline a relief concert to raise funds for the Australian Bushfires , also, headlining is Queen , kid Lang , Olivia Newton John and numerous other Australian acts .its posted as a 9 hour concert.
Being held in Sydney the day after his Sydney concert which incidentally clashes with Queens concert

Yeah I saw the confirmation earlier. Not a huge surprise being that as you say they are there anyway. In fact the promoter is pretty lucky to have two major international acts in the city at the exact time he needs them there! I hope he gets to use his own band for a short set rather then wandering on to play 'School's Out'.nurserozetta wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 7:52 pmJust been confirmed that Alice will headline a relief concert to raise funds for the Australian Bushfires , also, headlining is Queen , kid Lang , Olivia Newton John and numerous other Australian acts .its posted as a 9 hour concert.

Hopefully it was all be televised.

Confirmed it will be the full band for a short set.
Re: Australian bushfire concert
Good news Si, although I'm sure we will still get the 3-4 usual suspects played, and why not when it's a neutral audience.
I'm sure it will be televised in some fashion as it seems to be building profile but at 9hrs plus in length I'm guessing anything that makes a compilation programme will only have only one, maybe two at most from Alice.
IBeen keeping close to this as we've got family and a number of friends who live across Australia, some well beyond the suburbs of Melbourne and Sydney and who have been on high alert for a while. One lost absolutely everything a few years ago in another fire so particularly worrying for her just now as she only finished rebuilding this time last year.

The poster being done in alphabetical order did him a huge favor. Gotta love it!

This could be REALLY good for Alice (and of course its a good cause) if it's televised.

Alice has now lost top billing with the addition of “5 seconds of summer” to the lineuppadre_sliprat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 9:27 pmThe poster being done in alphabetical order did him a huge favor. Gotta love it!
Interesting side note , 2 of the acts on the bill John Farnham and Tina Arena have both released versions of Only Women Bleed

Re: Australian bushfire concert
Or how about a virtual duet with Michael Buble?
Going to be interesting to see how this thing plays out now with the most recent acts that have been confirmed.

Re: Australian bushfire concert
Alice and the band played four songs: Department of Youth, I'm Eighteen, Poison and School's Out.
As much as I love the theatrics of an Alice show, it's a refreshing change to see them play with just a backdrop of Marshall amps.
