Vampires Tour - going?
With a couple of weeks till the Vampires tour starts has everyone got tickets yet?
Have to say I haven't but have just booked my summer holiday and will be in Lucca at just the right time. Couldn't get the enthusiasm to buy tickets for the gig here in Glasgow but can't really miss an outdoor gig in a small and ancient Italian walled city. Should make the night a bit special. Shame it had to be the venue that finally made me buy though..

I can't wait for the Glasgow gig! I really like the first album. It's great fun straight forward classic rock. I hope there are less covers on the new album. I'm looking forward to seeing Alice do a very different gig! I struggle to understand some of the vitriol towards the HV project.

Birmingham and Manchester for me...Can't wait...any idea when the new album will be released?
Re: Vampires Tour - going?
Unless a decent ticket shows up I may not be there as things stand. I've seen no decent tickets on sale for a price I'm prepared to pay, not for a seated shed.
I freely admit I'm being very picky but I'm not going to pay a lot of money (plus hotels/travel/parking etc) to look at the back of someones head/phone all night, or to use binoculars to see the stage.

Yup, going to Wembley and looking forward to it.
For me, this tour is a chance to see Alice doing something completely different to the solo tour, which has been rather similar for several years now (last Autumn was obviously very special though).

I am 100% with you si. Its a very hard pass for me. I only just went to see alice at wembley arena recently with bad and expensive seats. Im not going to see alice play covers for possibly more money.Unless a decent ticket shows up I may not be there as things stand. I've seen no decent tickets on sale for a price I'm prepared to pay, not for a seated shed.

Hope you all enjoy it tho.

Re: Vampires Tour - going?
Has anyone heard anything about the touring band? I really hope some or all of the ACG are involved! I know it's doubtful but surely Dennis at least would be up for it?

I think that I Want My Now isn't a new song.
This is intro from Johnny Deep's movie Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

Apparently the intro music is 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' by Bauhaus and the Christopher Lee narrated 'The Last Vampire'Si wrote:Could be an intro tape?nurofeg wrote:I think that I Want My Now isn't a new song.

Yes, I've seen clips now. Was just a thought when all we had was the title. If it is from the soundtrack (I'm not doubting the poster, just haven`t had time to check it out) then it's actually a pretty cool idea to take a song from one of Depp's movies and rock it up.suziginajackson wrote:Apparently the intro music is 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' by Bauhaus and the Christopher Lee narrated 'The Last Vampire'Si wrote:Could be an intro tape?nurofeg wrote:I think that I Want My Now isn't a new song.

Re: Vampires Tour - going?
There's no song in the Burton/Depp "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" called "I want my now!.
There is however a song in the 70s Gene Wilder "Willy Wonka and the Chocolated Factory" called "I want it now!".
