Jimmy Kimmell
That was a brilliant performance by Alice and the FF . Dave Grohl is so cool ! Interesting they played BODF , I'm sure many viewers never heard that tune before -wonderful! Coop is a legend . His vocals are still so strong
Re: Jimmy Kimmell
Yes that was really good. Nice twist at the end.

Re: Jimmy Kimmell
Definitely one of the best TV show performances by Alice!
Re: Jimmy Kimmell
Excellent performance, he was really intense and his voice was really good.

He certainly didn't look like a guy approaching 70 who'd not long got off a plane from New Zealand. Great song choice and performance for Halloween
Re: Jimmy Kimmell
I would be interested to know who chose the song for the show.

When I saw Dave playing while wearing that white beard and receding hairline, I thought, "I'm not the only one."
"He's old, the snake's got gray hair..."
Re: Jimmy Kimmell
Absolutely stellar performance! Intercontinental Alice. 10 days ago, he was killing them all in Australia. I cannot get over his vocals here. He delivers such great power and control. Truly a master. And how cool to see him play with the Foo Fighters. Makes me wish that I knew Dave Grohl.

That was about as good as it gets. It was 1971 again and it was still relevant today as it was 46 years ago.

Re: Jimmy Kimmell
I also enjoyed the song.
As for the interview, he had the chance to tell an amusing anecdote about meeting Colonel Sanders but instead told the chicken story again. It's one thing to come out with it when prompted by dumb interviewers but another thing entirely to dive into it at any opportunity. The capacity he has for retelling and retelling that one while still saying it as though it were fresh is one of the most amazing things in the history of rock.
It doesn't particularly irritate me by the way, I just find it morbidly fascinating.

I think that he probably just assumed, rightly or wrongly, that that was where Grohl was heading with the photo so just ran with it. After all, it's where most interviewers head so not surprising.VinceRaven wrote:I also enjoyed the song.

Re: Jimmy Kimmell
Given the beer in his hand, maybe he doesn't really remember meeting Colonel Sanders to be able to tell a story?

Was that the Guillotine from the Brutal Planet tour?
Re: Jimmy Kimmell
very nice performance indeed.(unbelievable strong voice here !!)(although a bit hoarse during the interview)
There wasn't much talked about the new album and I don't know if the impact of that program is important ?
In the Heavy Tv interview -quite interesting btw - Alice mentions the album may be rewarded with a grammy. Has this got to do with sales numbers only or is it defined categories ?

Re: Jimmy Kimmell
You have to be nominated for a Grammy and it has nothing to do with sales (the only thing sales may do is bring some recognition that there is a new project out). I actually thought there was more mention of the new album than I expected. Dave Grohl mentioned it in the interview. They only had a couple of minutes so I was pleased it even got a mention.patrick wrote:very nice performance indeed.(unbelievable strong voice here !!)(although a bit hoarse during the interview)
