If you could choose five more songs for the ACG mini set...

Post by del » Mon Aug 21, 2017 7:02 am

I know it's only the UK for now but if it goes well, who knows.. If you could choose five more songs to add to the probable ACG mini set (I.e. School's Out etc) what would they be?

Ignoring technical challenges of recreating some songs live it's still been a challenge. I've gone across the years for this. It wasn't deliberate but just seemed to end up that way.

1. Genuine American Girl with Cheryl providing the dance routine. Absolutely need to give the guys a chance to play this and see how it goes.
2. Black Juju - always loved the footage from the era. I know It can't be recreated the same way now but it would be great to see the guys reprise it.
3. Dead Babies - my all time favourite from Killer alongside..
4. Yeah yeah yeah - audience participation essential
5. Heard Hearted Alice - loved it from the first listen. Would die to hear it live.

Genuine American Girl is a proof they're still here. So, it has to be in.

So we're looking for 5 songs running up to the SO finale?

No More Mr Nice Guy
Billion Dollar Babies
Public Animal #9 (for GB)

Caught in a Dream (nice, energetic little opener)
Luney Tune (think it'd follow on nicely from the above)
Unfinished Sweet
My Stars (my favourite AC song, group or solo)
Raped and Freezin' (think the end could segue well into "School's Out")

My Stars is great, but there have been no keyboards on the tour for years (always wondered why). Thus, I didn't mention the song.

Ah I misread the OP, somehow interpreted it as ignoring any sort of technical limitations.

MB has played My Stars without keyboards and it sounded great.

would love crazy little child, not sure how well it would work live though. tons of others i'd like to hear. this is another thing i'd like them to play a set list each night and one different, and record them all for an album.

I would love to see the following played by the surviving members:

1. Hello Hooray
2. Ballad of Dwight Fry
3. Eighteen
4. Elected

Big Apple Dreamin would be 5th choice but will never happen so I'll swap it for You And All Of Your Friends.

That's a polite request not an order

Not in any particular order but these would be my five songs that I would like to see played if possible.

1. Caught in a Dream
2. Luney Tune
3. Hard Hearted Alice
4. My Stars
5. Genuine American Girl (Purely because its on the Paranormal album)

For purely nostalgic value and I know Alice has played 'Ballad of Dwight Fry' and 'Halo of Flies' many times with various bands I would enjoy seeing the ACG perform them also.

When Alice has toured in the past from the moment I have purchased a ticket I literally count down the months, weeks and days to the concert. The current band are superb but I have to admit this year I would gladly pay the admission fee just to see the original band perform any five songs. I have waited nearly 43 years to witness this and the only sadness is that GB will not be there in person, however I am sure watching from above!
