New album sales
I just went into the local HMV in East Kilbride to buy the vinyl, not only was there no vinyl left all the cds were sold out. The guy at the desk said that they were "flying out the door" and a new batch was expected later today! So hopefully this is repeated everywhere!

Re: New album sales
I'm pretty sure because it is two discs, each copy counts as two, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: New album sales
Official Charts (saw them on twitter, they are UK) reports that Paranormal is set to break the top 10 album charts this week. Interesting.
Re: New album sales
What day does the charts come out?
Re: New album sales
This is the current midweek update for the UK album chart, bear in mind Alice could drop by Friday or even go up!!!

Re: New album sales
That's good news. Here in the United States, it was Number One on Amazon for a few days and is still doing well today and it was in the Top 20 on I-tunes the other day as well. Not sure if it will crack the Top 10 in the United States but I think it might at least make the Top 20.

I know that is the case with something like say a boxset. Not sure in this case.RemarkablyInsincere wrote:I'm pretty sure because it is two discs, each copy counts as two, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: New album sales
Has anybody seen stores with physical copies in the U.S.? Not one store in Birmingham, AL has one. I was going to buy a vinyl if I saw one local. Will probably still buy one from Amazon at some point.

I believe Billboard charts are released on Tuesday, tomorrow. Not sure if Paranormal would show up that fast.

Re: New album sales
Pitkin,
I agree, Best Buy does stink and I rarely do business with them but I did buy a copy of the album from them this past Friday (I also ordered one through Amazon but it hasn't arrived yet, should be today or tomorrow). There are a few music stores around in my state but not many and you can count on one hand how many are locally owned. In Memphis, there is a Spin Street but the problem is you have some jacked up prices.I am talking 20 bucks for a new album. Nashville has one good music store, East Tennessee one or two. There aren't many options. I am not sure if any of the Wal-mart's are selling it or not.

The only places I have checked in the area in Birmingham are the three Target stores. Nothing anywhere unless the Targets have it.

One of the last great stores. Always worth a visit.
