Question about this video (1977)
I've never seen this film before.
From what live video or TV program?

It is neither of those - it looks like bootleg of the "King Of The Silver Screen" tour.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
It looks like Alice Cooper and Friends TV Broadcast..then shot with an 8mm home movie camera
The road to hell is littered with nice guys with good intentions.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
A_MichaelUK is correct. I've searched far and wide for footage of this show and it's definitely bootleg footage, not Alice Cooper and Friends. I'm very interested in where this guy got this film from
Re: Question about this video (1977)
I always found it very strange that there is no fooatge with a good quality from this era/show.
Alice did sell a good amount of albums that day.

Ypu mean apart from "Alice Cooper And Friends", of course. It is just one of those unfortunate things (or fortunate, depending on your perspective).

Re: Question about this video (1977)
Years ago I talks to REnfield at length about this tour and lack of footage. If I recall he said at the time that he had searched for years for anything useable from '77/78, even the rest of the Anaheim show (AC & Friends)footage, and came to the conclusion that beyond the odd news report or things like this super 8 audience stuff it simply didn't exist any more.
Of course you never know what someone might find in an attic or studio vault one of these days.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
I too would love to see a full performance of this show. Even if it was a bad time for Alice and some fans even found the show to be a childish run through the motions, I see it as one of Alice's more theatrical stage shows and it's unfortunate that the only easily accessed footage (Alice Cooper and Friends) falls short of showcasing all the theatrics the show had in it

While, that is for the moderators to decide on, I don't quite see how it breaks the rule that I think you're referring to.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
So we can post links to any live show by Alice Cooper? Isn't this stealing? I doubt the person bootlegging the show had permission. It's a link to a bootleg and unless I am mistaken that is not allowed here.
Re: Question about this video (1977)
If you actually read and understood what was said in the other thread you would know the difference between this and what TB posted.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
A video of a show is not stealing, looking into the past, even the Alice Cooper staff has been promoting that kind of videos because they are free publicity (I'm not a native english speaker so if I'm writing something wrong, I'm really sorry and please let me know! )

Technically, it is (unless you have permission or if the artist doesn't care), but that isn't the issue. The issue is that there is a difference between the two links and that is covered by the wording of the rule under discussion.

Re: Question about this video (1977)

If I understand the rule correctly, it depends on the circumstances. As you know, (because I know you've read it), it states "Nor will you advertise the sale of bootleg or pirate recordings on SickthingsUK. You can discuss the existance of said materials or ask about the availability ("does anyone have..?") but DO NOT publically offer to supply such materials, especially for money." So, it depends on the cuircumstances, but Si can clarify that.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
The whole posting links thing sounds like such a mine field to me. It almost seems like you need a moderator to approve it before you post. I'm sure nobody want this though as it will create extra work for Si and co and (probably) put people off posting all together.
I've no doubt that almost everyone on here posts links with the best of intentions, that's the pity really.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
To make sure.
I posted this link because I wanted to know about the footage of "King Of The Silver Screen" tour.
I had no intention of just posting a link to bootleg.
But I think it's good to see 70's unreleased video
even if it's bootleg quality.

Re: Question about this video (1977)
Firstly, I'm sorry for my poor English.
I posted this link because I think this video quite interesting.
Reasons below.
1 According to Lace & Whiskey concert review,
"There are three Alices' running at the camera: Alice in leather, Alice in the straight jacket and Alice in top hat and tails."
In this video, Alice in red jump suit is running.
2 I wonder what song Alice sang when 2 female dancers were dancing.
I think "Only women bleed" (in this video, TV screen show Sheryl dancing as 'Madhouse Rock' Tour DVD) , on the other hand, Lace & Whiskey concert review noted Alice sang "Only women bleed" with rag doll.
3 Only in this tour, Alice sang 'Go To Hell' with the Cyclops.
It's pity that there is not full live footage from this tour, because I think it was one of the most entertaining concert Alice have ever done (giant TV screen, Cyclops and giant chickens etc).
