Hey Stoopid Expanded
Hi there,
pretty sure this hasn't been posted before, but both amazon Germany and UK have listed a re-release of Hey Stoopid for September 23 (UK) and September 26 (Germany). It appears it's the regular album with three bonus tracks:
Hey Stoopid (beba edit)
Fire
It rained all night

It's listed on Amazon US as an import releasing October 1, 2013 (no details about the contents there, though).

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded
Well, I picked up the "Freedom For Frankenstein" best of years ago because it compiled quite a few limited and unreleased songs on it. It Rained All Night made it worth it. Fire is good but I would hope that they record a new version with Orianthi. The vid of Da Coop guesting at the 100 Club is awesome! HS (Beba Edit) needs some exploring.

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded
HS (Beba Edit) could be the single edit version?
Just a guess as I seem to recall the single was supposed to be slightly different to the album version.

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded
If you Google "Hey Stoopid Beba Edit" you can find several references to it including the US and UK CD singles.

http://www.discogs.com/Alice-Cooper-Hey ... se/2172806
If anyone has that, they could tell us the difference.
It's supposedly 3:56 in length. The version on Life and Crimes is missing the long intro and is 4:15, while the album version is 4:34.

I've got the Beba edit, there's no notable differences so not worth getting excited about it.

Actually there is one - the single is missing the introduction that the album version begins with.
>so not worth getting excited about it.
That is true.

I got excited when I saw the 'Extended' bit as I was hoping the elusive If 4th Street Could Talk and Chemical Reaction might be included!

I don't think they are particularly great songs.

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded
The Beba edit must be missing something else if those running times are correct.
The single version is on the Life & Crimes boxset (or at least it's attributed that way).
This edit seems like something additional that was on the CD Maxi Single originally.

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded
Like a sad case, I've just played the album (4:34) and Beba versions (3:56) side-by-side.
No obvious differences at all other than:
The intro (missing the 19 second opening); and
Ends about 20 seconds earlier (still with Alice saying "Hey Stoopid").

Well that is a difference that you did not specifically mention earlier.wind_up_toy wrote:Ends about 20 seconds earlier (still with Alice saying "Hey Stoopid").
