Blue Coupe - Million Miles More
Just got my Blue Coupe CD today in the mail (w/ a signed message from Joe Bouchard too!)
I still have to give it a full listen, but the track "Hallows Grave" with Alice singing lead is interesting... and does harken back to the more experimental side of the ACG group a bit.

I received mine today, too, but won't get a chance to listen to it until tomorrow. No signed message, either. ;-)

I take it back---there was a signed message in the envelope. I just missed it when I first opened it.
I'm digging the CD so far!

I received my copy too....with a signed note from J Bouchard...I like the album.
Perhaps not as much as Tornado on the Tracks, but that took some time to grow on me as well.
I just wish AC still worked with DD.

I'd never buy a whole album just for a single track, that's my philosophy, even if i die waiting for it.

Cheers Si, will check it out
Re: Blue Coupe - Million Miles More
The Alice sung song is a grower. It really doesn't sound like anything he has done in a long while so that is refreshing.

I think this album is exceptionally strong. Definitely surprised me as to the quality of the material here. And, of course, Dennis really shines with his playing. He's not the type of bass player that goes unnoticed.
I agree with your review, Si.

Got my copy last night along with TORNADO ON THE TRACKS along with Joe Bouchard's two solo albums...so it looks like I have some work to do!

Re: Blue Coupe - Million Miles More
Have listened to this about four times in the last week-a GREAT album. LOVE Alice's vocals on "Hallows Grave" ("In The Park/In The Dark"). "Modern Love" sounds a lot like "ME 262" and "Train of Thought" reminds me very much of BOC's MIRRORS. Great playing by all and probably my favorite album this year, even more so than Black Sabbath's 13.

Now that I've had a chance to listen to this a lot, I agree, it really is a GREAT album.
Definitely one of those albums that gets better the more you listen to it (which are often the best kind).
