Hey all!
Who is going to the Wolverhampton show? I'd love to meet a few sickies this year, and who is doing the VIP there too?

Re: Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton will be a great, also looking forward to visiting a famous hostelry while there that is synonymous with the greatest band ever to come out of that city.
The Trumpet is a local haunt of Slade, in fact drummer Don Powell was drinking there the night before he had his car crash that tragically killed his girlfriend and caused his memory loss.
A friend of his who was drinking with him that night has an Alice Cooper connection, he laid down Anchor tracks (that's an uncredited guide track that musicians sometimes do for those that are to play on the album) on the Lace And Whiskey album.
This drummer friend of the Slade sticks man who I met when I worked demonstrating guitars in music shops, who was working at this time for Zildgian Cymbals, told me in order to familiarize himself with Alice Cooper style drumming the record company told him to study You Drive Me Nervous.
He then knowing i was an Alice Cooper fan demonstrated the drum part in this music shop and it blew me away, even though the drum parts on Lace are quite different to Killer which is understandable, different drummers and one album a lot heavier than the other.

Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

Re: Wolverhampton
I live close to Wolverhampton and I didn't know this haha. However, when I'm out and about in Bilston (close to Wolverhampton) you can sometimes spot Dave Hill.
I've spoken to Spike from The Quireboys outside of the vets there too haha!
Besides, I think that the Civic Hall is the best venue in the Midlands and love to watch bands there. Heading off to the Record Fair there tomorrow to see what I can find..AC related of course

YES, just booked my tickets, flights and hotel. I spent my university year abroad in Wolves so it'll be nice to be back and to refresh some memories.
