At least he beat John Prescott! Why does everyone ask him the same question?

Because they have no imagination to ask any others.bigbradwolf wrote:Why does everyone ask him the same question?

Regarding the questions , it was clearly well scripted , so Alice himself must have had some input .......One of the people watching it with me had never really seen him chatting before (Don't ask ) .......and she thought he was a BRILLIANT guest ....really funny anecdotes , nice guy , etc ........Maybe that is reason enough to play it safe - to dismantle the public perception .....seemed to work for the people I "forced" to watch it

That's usually how programmes like this are put together, although "scripted" is not quite right word.

Re: Top Gear Teaser Trailer
Personally, I always find his interviews that are not on mainstream TV more interesting and he often seems more relaxed in them. Like the one at Donnington/Download for example, he really seemed himself on that. Just my opinion.

In the space of a couple of weeks, Alice has been asked about the chicken story, but he has not mentioned how the 'first 5 rows' were people in wheelchairs, do you think he is losing his memory?

I know, it's amazing that anyone doesn't know anymore!!!I'm so glad someone finally asked Alice about the chicken story.
Yes, I noticed that - don't forget that Alice gets targeted by the PC brigade. He's even had hassle for calling the Halloween auditions a 'freak show'!!??In the space of a couple of weeks, Alice has been asked about the chicken story, but he has not mentioned how the 'first 5 rows' were people in wheelchairs, do you think he is losing his memory?

Re: Top Gear Teaser Trailer
I suppose they ask a question which they think the viewing public may find amusing, which it is but not when it`s been heard as many times as we`ve heard it. The studio audience seemed to enjoy it.
I thought the interview was miles better than Alice`s attempt to drive the Kia.
For a self confessed car nut to beat Prezzer by only a tenth of a second, c`mon.

I will concede "scripted" is possibly not quite right word , so i'll change it to :
rehearsed , practiced , walked through , set-up , worked -out , planned , prepared in advance ,contrived ...........or maybe Alice just gave Jeremy a sheet of questions and said "Pick some , but make sure you ask about a chicken ........and how I got my name

That is more accurate.
That is more accurate.
Re: Top Gear Teaser Trailer
Well, when I say 'hassle', in his press conference at Donnington/Download, he said that he was told not to call it a 'freak show'. I might be wrong here, but that sounds mighty like the PC brigade on his case to me.Si wrote:He has??Gunner wrote:He's even had hassle for calling the Halloween auditions a 'freak show'!!??
