The 'Alice' album...
Inspired from the 'worst tracks thread'...
What is the one album for you where Alice sounds the most like 'your' idea of Alice Cooper?
If i really have to narrow it down to one album, i would say From The Inside, to me his voice is really on it and the whole atmosphere just screams Alice Cooper, especially on The Quiet Room when the synth screams and he goes into "They've got this place..." Makes the hairs on my neck stand every time!
But what album is your 'Alice' album...?

If all Alice stuff Billion DB... if solo then From the Inside closely followed by Last Temptation...

I would have to say killer. Halo of flies is just the best song i have ever heard in my life. You get the rockers like under my wheels and be my lover and the dark side of alice with dead babies and killer. If someone asked me who Alice Cooper was i would give them this album.

Even though his best tracks are somewhere else, as a whole album I'd choose Flush the Fashion. Don't really understand why, but I totally love this album

Re: The 'Alice' album...
Interesting thread, mmmm ok suppose it has to be From the Inside, although in an inverted snobbery I am a little put off because it is the album that non Alice fans love, if that makes any sense.

From The Inside.
While Welcome To My Nightmare is my favorite from Alice, From The Inside goes above and beyond what defines Alice to me. Robby had some comments I could get behind in his initial post and his assessment of this album.

If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

The last tempatation or Welcome to my nightmare, it is really hard to choose between those two. If someone was pointing me with gun, the decision would be alot easier. Luckily no one is doing so:). Well I hope my humour wasn't too black. This is a tough choice. Well I think today I'm leaning little bit more towards Welcome to my nightmare. Yes Welcome to nightmare it is!

From The Inside
Welcome To My Nightmare and The Last Temptation are awesome too... But for me the 'Alice' album is From The Inside!

For the whole band, it's Killer. Solo Alice, I would say either WTMN or From The Inside, although my personal favourite is The Last Temptation.

For me it's Killer. Atmospheric, chilling, threatening and shocking all at the same time and still with a sense of humour.
WTMN is actually my favourite album but it was killer that for me defined 'my' Alice.

For me it would be Killer too. Don't see the humour there, though (don't want any either). WTMN is good, but a laugh - hopefully not meant to be serious.Railwayman wrote:For me it's Killer. Atmospheric, chilling, threatening and shocking all at the same time and still with a sense of humour.

How about Be My Lover, You Drive Me Nervous, Yeah Yeah Yeah ..... not necessarily funny ha ha but some light relief before plunging back down into the abyss.
Re: The 'Alice' album...
Looking over all of this its great to see Welcome,Inside and Temptation mentioned..there can't be that many artists who have produced 3 "killer" concept albums
