Why haven't you written with Michael Bruce in last 36 years?

Question: Would he consider re-recording any of his old material?

He has thought about this.

Yeah it's something that has interested me...i'm not sure if i would like Alice to do it or not. Most of the examples of this from other bands have (in my opinion) not been that great (the latest Kiss album for example).

Some of the material on Dada would sound fantastic with a slightly 'thicker' production.

Clearly, Alice enjoys a rotating door of musicians and producers, to keep the sound and writing from getting too stagnant. Regardless of who likes it. Something is always changing with Alice. Record companies, musicians, producters, stage concepts...changing rearranging.

Another question:

1)Alice, how is the success of Cooperstown been affected by the recession? Is the menu getting bigger or smaller?

2)I read that there was a 2nd Cooperstown made....what happened to it?

Go to http://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/events/sportsbar.php for the answer you're seeking.

Peter Gabriel is releasing an album produced by Bob Ezrin this year.....how likely is it that your new album will be produced by Ezrin also?

Michael has submitted material several times apparently but nothing that was suitable, at least at the time it was submitted.

As much as I love The Tubes (HUGE fan) I doubt Alice ever considered them competition, and they were never a glam band either.

If you wanted to ask this question a better choice would be Bowie and Marc Bolan. They were the two prime movers in Glam around that time.

In fact I think there is a quote somewhere about this very matter, although I can`t for the life of me recall where. Me, Alice maybe? Andy?

Not sure what the point would be. All the "big" songs have been re-recorded in one way or another ie the 'Greatest Hits Live' radio show, or the recent USB releases. I know they aren`t studio versions, but still do we need more versions of SO?

Even if it was lesser known songs, I don`t really see the point.

Better to look forward not back.

What about Gary Glitter? Was he ever considered competition to Alice in the early 70s?

I would say no, at least not in the context of this conversation.

Agreed. Gary Glitter was not that big a star in the US. And even Marc Bolan was not that big a star in the US either although T-Rex and Marc Bolan preceded Bowie (another example of Bowie getting too much credit). So as far as Alice Cooper's glam competition in the early 70s, I would say that it was probably really just Bowie.

My question to Alice would be: What does he think of this recent resurgence and popularity of vampires and did he see the Twilight movies?

He was referring to some of the early eighties material.

I agree.
